LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries appeared on 'The View',  addressing  a spectrum of issues. He expressed concerns about a 'pro-Putin' faction in the Republican Party led by Donald Trump, stating, "I actually think Donald Trump sees himself as a Putin-like dictatorial figure."

According to Dailymail, Jeffries pointed out a growing pro-Putin faction within the GOP, naming figures like Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Jim Jordan.

Hakeem Jeffries calls for urgent aid to Ukraine amidst GOP blockade

Regarding the urgent need for aid to Ukraine, Jeffries criticized House Republicans for blocking emergency appropriations, saying, "Supporting Ukraine is supporting America’s national security interests." Despite concerns about Biden's age, Jeffries endorsed him as "definitely the strongest candidate" to beat Trump.

In response to Joy Behar's question about what Putin might have over Trump, Jeffries suggested, "That’s a good question," and highlighted the former president's self-perception. He added, "We're running into a growing pro-Putin faction in the Republican Party, led by Donald Trump."

Jeffries accuses Trump of fueling pro-Putin sentiments in GOP

Addressing Trump's favorable remarks about Russia, Jeffries stated, "There is a growing pro-Putin faction in the Republican Party, and it’s led by Donald Trump, some other outside figures like Tucker Carlson, and from the inside: Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jim Jordan."

On the ongoing Russia probe criticism, Jeffries urged bipartisan support for the aid package to Ukraine, emphasizing its importance to America's national security interests. He called on the House to pass the bill for an up or down vote, stating, "What we are saying is that supporting Ukraine is supporting America’s national security interests."

While Trump offered no condolences for Navalny's death and compared his situation to the Russian opposition leader during a town hall, Jeffries condemned the former president's narcissism. Jeffries criticized Trump's statements, saying, "The narcissism is unbelievable."

Puts faith in Joe Biden's strength

In a broader context, the conversation delved into Trump's comparison of his legal situation to Alexei Navalny's and his favorable remarks about Russia. Jeffries emphasized the importance of bipartisan cooperation, saying, "And that is why this must be done in a bipartisan manner."

Jeffries concluded by endorsing Biden, stating, "Joe Biden is absolutely the strongest candidate to beat Donald Trump. He has an incredible track record of success. And we just have to connect that success story to his vision for the next four years."
