Gypsy Rose Blanchard slammed as she files for restraining order against estranged husband Ryan Anderson
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard has now filed a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband Ryan Anderson, People reports.
According to court documents, the papers were filed by the 32-year-old's attorneys in the 17th Judicial District Court in the Parish of Lafourche, Louisiana.
The controversial couple tied the knot back in July 2022, while Blanchard was serving an eight-year prison term after being found guilty of ordering then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn to murder her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in 2015.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's post after separation from Ryan Anderson
Blanchard was released in December last year and disclosed that she and Anderson were splitting just three months later.
“People have been asking what is going on in my life,” she wrote on Facebook. “Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents’ home down the bayou.”
Blanchard noted that she was listening to her heart and needed space and time to find herself.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson's split might be screened by Lifetime soon
Even though Blanchard did not shed much light on her highly-publicized separation, she later took to social media that their split may be addressed in an upcoming Lifetime show that focuses on her life post-prison. “We were filming a lot, so stay tuned for that,” she said on Instagram.
This may seem a bit odd for many as the duo appeared to be inseparable before their split. They attended the premiere of Lifetime’s 'Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard' in January and appeared happier than ever while sitting next to each other for a string of interviews. Blanchard even about Anderson’s physical prowess, claiming his “D is fire.”

Ryan Anderson allegedly hit Gypsy Rose Blanchard
Things, however, were not so good for the couple behind the camera as Blanchard's close friend Nadiya Vizier told the outlet that her friend was worried that Anderson would strike her.
“Gypsy said that she was afraid he was going to hit her,” Vizier alleged. “He didn’t — but that happened in the past with her mother. So, her first instinct was to tighten up and be prepared.”
Anderson thanked his supporters in a video shared on social media after the split. In the clip, he promised fans that they’ll “see what really happened” between him and Blanchard soon enough.
Blanchard has since been photographed with ex-fiance Ken Urker, whom she was engaged to for a year in 2018. The two were snapped together in South Louisiana earlier this month and got matching tattoos.
