'Wish me luck': Gypsy Rose Blanchard announces coverage of her cosmetic surgery journey in new series
LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard, aged 32, has announced a significant change to her appearance.
She has confirmed her intention to undergo a cosmetic procedure, which will be featured on an upcoming Lifetime TV series titled 'Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup'.
Blanchard prepares for Rhinoplasty as part of personal transformation journey
In an interview with People magazine, Blanchard revealed that she will be undergoing a rhinoplasty to alter the shape and appearance of her nose.
“I’m going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too,” she said, adding, “Wish me luck with my surgery and watch the whole thing this summer on 'Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.'"
Gypsy Rose's close friend Nadiya Vizier disclosed that Gypsy Rose has been contemplating this procedure for some time. "She said she’s a bit nervous, but she’s happy it’s going to be done," Nadiya shared.
"The main thing is that she wanted a more feminine-looking nose. She just wants to fix it up and give it a more feminine look."
Nadiya emphasized the importance of allowing Gypsy Rose the freedom to make her own choices and learn from her experiences.
"My main message is to just, people need to let her live, let her experience, if they know that she’s doing something good or wrong, let her experience that. Let her learn from it. I feel like in a way, people are still trying to control her."
According to reports, Gypsy Rose is scheduled to undergo the rhinoplasty procedure this April 5 in Lafayette, Louisiana. It's worth noting that she recently changed her hair color to blonde about a month ago.
Additionally, she revealed her separation from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, and it was disclosed that she was spotted with her ex-fiance, but strictly as friends.
Blanchard reconnects with former Fiance Ken Urker following split from Anderson
Following her separation from Ryan Scott Anderson, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been seen spending time with her former fiance Ken Urker, who recently joined her in getting matching tattoos.
"They're very cool," commented Urker's mother Raina Williams, confirming that the two had reconnected following Blanchard's split from Anderson. "Ken is just being a supportive friend to her."
Blanchard's ongoing connection with Urker was previously highlighted in her 2024 Lifetime docuseries, 'The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.'
In the series, she revealed that she maintained communication with Urker in the weeks leading up to her 2022 wedding with Anderson and admitted to still harboring feelings for him.
During a phone conversation between Anderson and Blanchard, she disclosed that she had a dream where she left Anderson for Urker, sparking a disagreement between the couple.
Despite this, they managed to reconcile and move forward with their relationship at the time.
While Blanchard and Anderson initially seemed to be enjoying marital happiness during the first month of their union, Blanchard recently announced their separation from the school teacher on social media last week.
This year has been filled with significant changes for Blanchard, marking a new chapter in her life.
Released from prison in December of 2023 after serving eight years of her 10-year sentence for her involvement in the conspiracy to murder her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.
"I'm ready to expand, and I think that goes for every facet of my life", she shared in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE just before her release.
