Sunny Hostin slammed as 'thoughtless windbag' for yelling at pro-Trump construction workers on the street
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: 'The View' is no stranger to fiery debates, but Sunny Hostin took her passion for politics beyond the studio and straight to the streets.
On the Thursday, December 5, episode of the show, the legal expert and former prosecutor hilariously revealed that she once yelled at a group of construction workers for their support of Donald Trump, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Sunny Hostin owns up to being the 'one yelling at Trump supporters’
During a heated 'Hot Topics' discussion about the ethics of 'Morning Joe' hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough meeting Donald Trump for a discussion ahead of his inauguration, Hostin and her co-host Joy Behar recalled their very different approaches to public Trump debates.
After ex-Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin defended the 'Morning Joe' duo, explaining she would meet with “any subject that I regularly talk about to ask questions” and broaden her perspective, Behar offered a word of caution based on her own street-side experiences.
“You're talking to someone who talks to construction workers on the street about Trump all the time,” Behar said, prompting Sara Haines to jump in with a cheeky, “Yell at construction workers!”
Hostin quickly set the record straight. “No, that was me,” she declared, before repeating “That was me” several more times for emphasis as Behar clarified, “No, they yell at me! They yell at me, she yells at them. We work together!”
Joy Behar clashes with train stewardess and Trump fans in hilarious stories
Behar, who is no stranger to public spats, shared more of her classic Trump-related encounters.
On a previous January episode of 'The View', she recounted a particularly amusing interaction with a man who failed to recognize her.
The man commented that she “could be a hot Joy Behar.” Without skipping a beat, the comedian retorted, “I am a hot Joy Behar!”
But the sass doesn’t stop with Trump supporters. Behar also engaged her colleagues with a story about her clash during a European vacation in 2023.
The comedian had a showdown with a train stewardess who denied her access to the first-class bathroom. Naturally, Behar escalated the situation by calling the woman “a b***h.”
While political debates often take center stage on 'The View', it’s moments like Hostin’s and Behar’s unapologetically candid stories that keep viewers coming back for more.
Sunny Hostin's street-side skirmish draws backlash from viewers
Viewers' reaction to 'The View's latest episode and Sunny Hostin's showdown with construction workers has been nothing short of fiery, with many people flooding social media to share their unfiltered opinions on the same.
On Facebook, one viewer expressed, "Sunny Hostin is an elitist arrogant liberal."
One person took to the comments section of a Yahoo! news article and shared, "Hopefully those workers weren't white or Sonny will be suing for discrimination."
One viewer pointed out, "The show is literally daytime comedy. You can't find people this dum to be on TV."
Another observed, "Sunny is exactly the kind of person who shrieks at total strangers trying to do their jobs."
One comment read, "Two rich, entitled, thoughtless windbags yelling at skilled laborers working for a living show how much democrats have changed."
Another individual remarked, "So Sunny Hostile yelled at a group of construction workers at some point, because her TDS was peaking, and she switched prescriptions which were apparently ineffective to quell the outburst. Yes, this is the stop the presses sort of information that qualifies as intensive discourse on the show that never ends, but I hope one day it does."
"Imagine how weak minded and political tribal you must be to do this?" asked another
