NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: MSNBC host Joe Scarborough strongly criticized Bill Barr, the former Attorney General under former President Trump, for his commitment to back the Republican presidential candidates in the upcoming election.

In a recent Fox News interview, Barr stated, "Given two bad choices, I think it’s my duty to pick the person I think would do the least harm to the country, and in my mind … I will vote the Republican ticket."

Barr further asserted that Trump "may be playing Russian roulette, but a continuation of the Biden administration is national suicide."

“That’s such a lie,” exclaimed Scarborough on his morning talk show.

He continued, “He knows it’s a lie. … Barr is playing, I guess for a Fox News audience. I don’t know why he’s doing it. He doesn’t believe a word he just said. Because he knows how chaotic Donald Trump is.”

Despite his divergence from Trump regarding the allegations surrounding the 2020 election, Barr has maintained a staunchly critical stance toward President Biden and the Democratic Party following his departure from the Trump administration.

In his 2022 memoir, Barr detailed Trump's decline, stating that after the 2020 election, Trump "lost control," highlighting that "he stopped listening to his advisers, became manic and unreasonable, and was off the rails."

Netizens outraged by Scarborough and Barr's comments

Social media erupted in outrage over Bill Barr's controversial comments as well as Scarborough's, sparking a viral storm of divided criticism.

One person tweeted, "Surprise! Surprise!"

Another said, "This is the face of a coward. People like Bill barr are why Trump is destroying American democracy."

One person tweeted, "Predictable."

Someone else wrote, "He apparently believes stopping Democrats is more important than stopping Trump."

Others noted, "Scarborough is irrelevant....period. One of the flagbearers of fake news."

Another echoed a similar sentiment, pointing out, "Your headline is wrong. It should be “DNC host Joe Scarborough predictably argued that Trump is bad and Bill Barr is wrong.”
