Swifties demand 'protection' for Taylor Swift as SAG-AFTRA pushes to make AI-generated pics 'illegal'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The recent uproar stems from AI-generated fake and explicit images of Taylor Swift circulating on social media platforms. This has not only angered Swifties but also drawn condemnation from groups like SAG-AFTRA, emphasizing the illegality of creating such deceptive images.
In another unsettling incident, Swifties were further enraged when an alleged stalker, David Crowe, was apprehended for trespassing on Swift's Tribeca property. Despite being released from court, Crowe was once again spotted near the pop icon's NYC home, prompting law enforcement to intervene and re-arrest him.

SAG-AFTRA releases statement condemning Taylor Swift's AI-generated images
Recently, the rise of 'Taylor Swift AI' caught the attention of X (formerly Twitter), as numerous fake and explicit images of Swift circulated on various social media platforms. Swifties quickly responded with tweets condemning the act, expressing their concern, and rallying to protect Swift.
Adding to the outcry, SAG-AFTRA issued a statement denouncing the creation and dissemination of these sexually explicit, A.I.-generated images of Taylor Swift. In their release, they emphasized the need to make such actions illegal, stating, "The sexually explicit, A.I.-generated images depicting Taylor Swift are upsetting, harmful, and deeply concerning. The development and dissemination of fake images — especially those of a lewd nature — without someone’s consent must be made illegal."
The statement also highlighted the organization's support for Congressman Joe Morelle's Preventing Deepfakes of Intimate Images Act as a crucial step in preventing further exploitation. SAG-AFTRA affirmed their solidarity with Swift and all women affected by such privacy violations.
