This public display of affection put an end to all the swirling rumors about a contract suggesting a plan for a split between Swift and Kelce. On September 28, an alleged contract, supposedly from Kelce's US PR firm, Full Scope, was leaked online, fueling these unfounded breakup rumors.

The alleged contract detailed a plan for the power couple to break up on September 28 and the steps needed to ensure that Kelce's image takes the most negligible hit possible. However, Full Scope quickly denounced the claims, saying they were "entirely false and fabricated".

Swift attended Kansas City Chiefs' season opening game against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5, Thursday, where she cheered on her boyfriend.
