Taylor Swift fans divided as Brianna Chickenfry gets Eras Tour tickets after calling Swifties 'annoying'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift's fanbase is in turmoil following the announcement by influencer Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia that she will be attending the singer's concert, despite having previously disparaged Swifties.
The announcement caused a split within Swift's fanbase; some were skeptical of LaPaglia's motives, while others supported her for changing her views.

Brianna LaPaglia claims she is a 'new found Swiftie'
This week, Brianna LaPaglia announced via a TikTok post her plans to attend the final Eras Tour concert in Vancouver next month, Parade reports.
She also posted several videos of herself viewing clips of Swift's performances and familiarizing herself with the pop star's discography and claimed herself to be a "new found Swiftie".
However, some fans were skeptical about LaPaglia's sudden enthusiasm for becoming a dedicated Swift fan at 34, particularly after she had previously voiced her dislike for the Swiftie fandom.
In a video that fans have recently unearthed on X (formerly known as Twitter), LaPaglia is heard on an earlier episode of the 'BFFs' podcast this year, telling her co-host Dave Portnoy, "Swifties are so annoying" even adding, “I don’t wanna be a Swiftie”.
Portnoy, an avid Taylor Swift supporter, replied, “That’s not the way to win us over,” to which LaPaglia reaffirmed her lack of interest in becoming part of the fanbase.
Internet divided over Brianna LaPaglia’s newfound support for Taylor Swift
Many of Taylor Swift's fans are skeptical, believing that Brianna LaPaglia's recent support for the artist is driven more by "clickbait" than genuine appreciation. Some have even argued that she does not "deserve" tickets for the closing night due to her previous remarks.
One wrote, "I agree, i just don’t like influencers hoping on the eras tour train just so they can use it for clickbait…. maybe she is genuine but who knows."

Nevertheless, numerous Swifties have defended LaPaglia, contending that changing one's opinion about an artist is permissible.
Some also maintained that LaPaglia warrants "a little grace" for her past remarks, made during her relationship with country singer Zach Bryan, whom she has subsequently accused of emotional abuse throughout their time together.
One wrote defending LaPagalia, "She’s going through a break up from a toxic abusive man; and has used Taylor songs/lyrics to heal. Lots of people don’t get the lore until they go through something and realize her lyrics are relatable and cathartic - I’d give her grace on this."
