'Such a cloutchaser': Taylor Swift fans troll FKA Twigs for recreating Kanye West's 'Famous' music video

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tahliah Debrett Barnett, professionally known as FKA Twigs and acclaimed as a British singer and songwriter, was recently embroiled in a controversy.

The artist, aged 35, whose work is often characterized as "genre-bending", is currently under scrutiny from Taylor Swift's loyal fanbase for allegedly replicating Kanye West's 'Famous' music video.

This move has led to a surge of criticism and resulted in fans labeling her as a "cloutchaser".

The 'Karma' hitmaker who was recently honored as TIME's Person of the Year, reportedly criticized reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

She accused the SKIMS founder of allegedly editing and leaking the notorious 2016 phone call between her and Kanye West about his song 'Famous'.

This revelation came to light as she opened up about her previous feud with Kardashian.

Taylor Swift's fans recently criticized FKA Twigs for an Instagram video that appeared to mirror a controversial scene from Kanye West’s 'Famous' video.

The contentious sequence from the 2016 music video depicted Kanye lying shirtless in bed next to mannequins of several undressed individuals, including Taylor.

Kanye faced significant backlash for the music video and the song's contentious lyrics, which he claimed made Taylor "famous". He said, "I made that b***h famous."

This week, FKA Twigs shared a new Instagram album reflecting on her year, featuring her journeys to places like Berlin, Ibiza, Prague, and Big Sur.

Her year-end review included a clip that swept across a white bed where she was seen lying next to a few of her friends, including the musician Eartheater.

The footage bore an uncanny resemblance to the scene in Kanye's 'Famous' video where mannequins of several naked individuals were seen lying next to him in bed.

Among them was Taylor, with whom Kanye had a past feud, and his then-wife Kim Kardashian, per Daily Mail. 

The British artist didn't directly comment on the bed clip. However, she simply noted in the caption, "This year i have been making my album in cabs in berlin, huts in big sur, caves in ibiza, roads in hackney, i have written lyrics by lakes in prague and in the toilets of raves with a biro on the back of my hand."

It’s a common occurrence for fans to stand up for their favorite celebrities.

A recent example of this was when Beyonce's fanbase BeyHive came to her defense after Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama accused her of copying the robot look for her Renaissance Tour from his original creations. 

Swifties drag FKA Twigs

Swift's fans have criticized FKA Twigs for allegedly recreating West's 'Famous' music video.

"Omgg wtff.. she's such a cloutchaser, I'm disgusted," a fan tweeted. 

"When music flops they hop on taylor clout... fka twigs is so weird for this," said another. 

"Why do people have no job nowadays," added another. 

A user claimed, "Let's not forget that twigs is actually Matty's ex so this makes it weirder."

"I didn’t understand it at first but yeah that’s not right," noted another.

"Karma's gonna track you down," one fan wrote on Instagram.

"What was the reason for the mock of the famous mv ?" stated another.

One person noted, "Soooo disgusting for recreating such an misogynistic video as famous. Be better."
