Hosts of 'Fox and Friends Weekend', recently received immense backlash from the Swifties after they responded to former NFL coach Tony Dungy's comments about her appearances at the games and expressed their disapproval. After Dungy said that Swift's appearance was disenchanting the football fans by detracting them from the on-field action, Fox host Will Cain supported the statement by saying what he said was "objectively true."

When host Rachel Campos-Duffy defended Swift by calling it just "a love story" and asked why they could not just accept it, Cain and Fox News host Pete Hegseth disagreed, with Cain responding, "Because I'm not watching football for a love story." When Campos asked if they wanted to see a pretty girl during the game, Cain likened Swift to cheerleaders and stated, "That's what we have cheerleaders for."
