Coldplay frontman Chris Martin took a moment at the Merkur Spiel-Arena to consider Swift's recent departure. The veteran rapper dethroned Swift's eleventh album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', released on April 19, and recorded his 11th top spot in the US amid the biggest week for a rap album in 2024.
'The Death of Slim Shady' sold 281,000 related album units in the week ending July 19, per data from Luminate, an analytics firm that tracks trends in music and entertainment. Eminem's new album, where he "kills off" his contentious persona, Slim Shady, also peaked at number one on the UK albums list. 'The Tortured Poets Department is still at the second spot on the UK albums list.

JoJo Siwa celebrates record-breaking victory over Taylor Swift
JoJo Siwa was thrilled to have surpassed Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift for the most dislikes on a video by a female artist in 2024. Siwa exuberantly revealed on TikTok, on Thursday, July 18, that her music video for 'Karma' had received an incredible 3.1 million dislikes, outpacing the views of famous artists such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry.
Katy Perry's 'Woman's World' garnered 330,000 dislikes, whilst Ariana Grande's 'Yes, And?' received 290,000 dislikes. Taylor Swift's 'Fortnight' received 350,000 dislikes after topping the charts in May. With an astounding 3.1 million dislikes, Siwa's 'Karma' won the top spot. While sporting her trademark colorful outfit, Siwa read aloud the list of 2024's least-loved music videos by female stars in the video.
