Taylor Swift's strong ties to Team USA and Simone Biles
Swift has strong connections to Team USA, especially with the women's gymnastics team and Simone Biles.
In 2021, she honored Biles after the gymnast withdrew from several events at the Tokyo Olympics.
Biles responded on social media, "I'm crying, how special. I love you @taylorswift13."

Swift replied, "I cried watching YOU. I feel so lucky to have gotten to watch you all these years, but this week was a lesson in emotional intelligence and resilience. We all learned from you. Thank you."

The 'Love Story' singer also cheered on Biles' teammates, Suni Lee and Jade Carey, as they stepped up during Biles' mental health struggles.
Swift's connection to the Olympics dates back to 2008 when NBC invited her to perform at the Beijing Games.
Fifteen years ago, Team USA athletes and NBC chose Swift's 'Fearless' track 'Change' to feature in highlight reels and commercials according to USA Today.
Swift even recorded a special version of the music video for the 2008 Summer Games, where red, white, and blue lights illuminated the young star as various Olympic games and athletes were projected onto her guitar amps and walls.
"I wrote the song 'Change' as an underdog story. It's kind of crazy to think that the Olympics chose this as one of the songs to play during the Olympic Games," Swift told The Boot at the time.
She added, "That blew my mind because what I wrote this song about was being on a small record label. When you're at a record label that had 12 employees, you have to work harder to get on major tours."
