Taylor Swift scores 2 new nominations, becomes most-nominated artist at 2024 MTV VMAs

LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK: MTV VMAs 2024 has revealed its nominations for four social categories.

These categories include Song of the Summer, Best Group, and Best Trending Video.

Taylor Swift extends her VMAs nominations to 12

Taylor Swift has also received two new nominations, officially reaching record 12, making her the most nominated artist at this year's show.

She is followed by Post Malone with 11 nominations, Eminem with eight, reports Billboard.

The ‘Karma’ crooner bagged nominations for ‘Song Of The Summer - Fortnight,' and Most Iconic Performance - 'You Belong With Me' (at the 2009 VMAs.)

The other nominees for Most Iconic Performance comprise Britney Spears, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera's kiss; Lady Gaga's Paparazzi,' Beyonce's 'Love On Top,' Eminem's 'The Real Slim Shady,' Madonna's 'Like a Virgin' at the first MTV VMAs, and Katy Perry's 'Roar.'

Voting lines will be open from September 10 at 11 am ET on MTV Instagram Story, and one can register by a simple tap. The event will take place on September 11 at UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.
