Taylor Swift’s ex Matty Healy gets engaged to Gabbriette Bechtel one year after breakup with pop star
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Matty Healy, frontman of 'The 1975' and Taylor Swift's ex, is now engaged to his model girlfriend, Gabbriette Bechtel.
The couple announced their engagement late Tuesday night, June 11, after attending their mutual friend Charli XCX's Brat show in Brooklyn. Bechtel shared the news on social media, posting photos of herself wearing the ring, which features a black gem surrounded by pavé diamonds around the stone and the band.

On the other hand, according to ABC News, Healy's mother, actress Denise Welch, confirmed the news on Loose Women on Wednesday, June 13.
"I obviously have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged. They went over to see their friends Charli and George in New York [last night] and I woke up this morning to the fact they’ve put it on Instagram. Instagram official, he's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel, Gabbriette she's known as. Black diamond; he had it made for her," she said on the UK chat show.
"I couldn't be more thrilled. We couldn't be happier she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law. I'm thrilled."
The 35-year-old British rocker and 26-year-old Bechtel were first linked in September last year when they were photographed kissing, hugging, and holding hands in New York City. Days later, they were spotted together at an event in Brooklyn, and it wasn't long before Healy confirmed he was in a relationship.
Charli XCX, the singer of 'Boom Clap,' formed the band Nasty Cherry in 2019 and selected Bechtel as a member. The Netflix documentary 'I'm with the Band: Nasty Cherry' followed the band's formation until the pandemic caused it to disband.
Bechtel, a native of Orange County, California, is also well-known for her social media posts featuring cooking videos, and she is currently writing a cookbook.
Following his breakup with Taylor Swift in June, Healy was linked to model Meredith Mickelson, while Bechtel had previously dated model Levi Dylan, the grandson of Bob Dylan.

serious."
Another user added, "Two people that look like they need a good scrubbing. Good match." Another user called Healy "desperate."
