Taylor Swift's stalker who made online threats against her detained outside Eras Tour concert venue
GELSENKIRCHEN, GERMANY: A Taylor Swift stalker has been detained in Germany.
An American man, who has previously made threats against the pop star on social media, has been detained ahead of the ‘Cassandra’ singer’s first show in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Though the identity of the stalker has not yet been revealed, he was taken into custody, to much relief of the singer’s fans.
Taylor Swift’s stalker detained in Germany
Per Daily Mail, the stalker has been “taken into custody at the entry control point to the venue before the concert" on Wednesday, July 17.
The outlet further revealed that after "initial investigations the authorities could not rule out that he posed a threat.”
The man has allegedly made threats both against Swift, 34 an her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, with whom she is rumored to getting hitched soon.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was also present there during Swift’s first concert at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday.
During Swift’s stay in the city for her concerts, the man will stay in custody.
The police were notified after the organizers of the concert found the stalker making online threats against the 14-times Grammy-winning singer.
The German police however reassured that at 'no point' were Swift or the venue's 60,000 attendees in danger.
Swift has also performed at the same venue on July 18 and will wind up her three nighter on July 19 before heading toward Hamburg and Munich.
She will be residing in Germany until July 28.
Then in August, she will return back to London to conclude the European leg of the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift reveals she has been stalked before
This is, however, not the first time that Swift has been harassed by a stalker. In 2019, she penned an essay for Elle where she revealed that she suffered stress before when she was stalked.
“You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things,” wrote the beloved singer.
She continued, “Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I've witnessed, and the faith I have in humanity.”
Swift continued, “We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.”
She further shared that for her own safety, she carries QuikClot, an army grade bandage dressing, “which is for gunshot or stab wounds.”
