NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: In a heartfelt gesture, Taylor Swift recently surprised her audience with a playful nod to her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, at one of her record-breaking Eras Tour concerts in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 27.

During her performance of 'Midnight Rain' Swift made a quick reference to Kelce by pretending to throw a football into the crowd, sparking wild applause and cheers.

As Swift sang the line, "And he never thinks / except when I'm on TV," she playfully shaded her eyes as if searching the distance, before miming a throw, as per Newsweek.

The lighthearted moment resonated with fans, who took to social media to share their excitement and dissect Swift's "football form."

One viewer expressed, "She did do a throwing a football move! Hehe, Girlie's in Looove #NOLATSTheErasTour."

Another viewer shared, "She did do a throwing a football move! It's for TRAVIIIIS #NOLATSTheErasTour."

One viewer pointed out, "I cannot get over this Taylor just threw a football at the eras tour."

Jason Kelce, who retired in 2023 after a long career with the Philadelphia Eagles, has yet to respond, but plenty of fans shared their own opinions, poking fun at Swift’s spontaneous "quarterback moment."

Taylor Swift continues to subtly honor Travis Kelce on Eras Tour

This isn’t the first time Swift has honored Kelce during her performances.

Earlier this year, during her concert in Dublin, Ireland, Swift emulated Kelce’s signature bow-and-arrow touchdown celebration as part of her Midnight Rain performance, repeating this gesture at her London show just days before.

During the October 27 show, she was also spotted mouthing “touchdown” during the same song at previous shows, adding yet another affectionate nod to her Super Bowl-winning boyfriend.

She also did Travis Kelce’s first down signal on stage and then sealed it with a 3-peat finger kiss send-off. 

One of the most memorable tributes came during an earlier show in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 11, 2023 where Kelce was in attendance alongside Swift's father, Scott Swift.

In a twist that delighted the crowd, Swift altered the lyrics of her song Karma, singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” instead of the original “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me.”
