LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+'s beloved soccer comedy, 'Ted Lasso,' may soon return for a much-anticipated fourth season, as reported by Deadline.

Recent developments indicate that the series, which captivated audiences worldwide with its heartwarming humor and endearing characters, is inching closer to a new installment.

Warner Bros Television, the studio behind the show, has made a major move by renewing contracts for several key cast members, hinting that a potential Season 4 may be on the way.

In a strong signal of confidence for the continuation of 'Ted Lasso,' Warner Bros Television has renewed contracts for three of the original cast members.

According to sources cited by Deadline, the studio has locked in Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift for the upcoming season.

Waddingham, who portrays the formidable Rebecca Walton; Goldstein, who plays the gruff yet lovable Roy Kent; and Swift, who embodies the quirky Director of Football Operations, Leslie Higgins, are all set to return to their cherished roles.

By securing these three cast members, Warner Bros Television has laid a strong foundation for a potential season 4, which now seems more likely than ever.

The studio’s next move will involve reaching out to other cast members whose contracts have expired.

Among those expected to receive new offers are Jason Sudeikis, who plays the titular character, Ted Lasso, and Brendan Hunt, who portrays Coach Beard.

Both are also co-creators and executive producers of the show, making their involvement crucial for any continuation of the series. Additionally, Juno Temple, who plays the bubbly Keeley Jones, is also expected to be in line for a new deal.

One notable exception is Phil Dunster, who plays Jamie Tartt. Dunster’s contract has not yet been renewed, likely because of his commitments to other projects, including Prime Video’s 'The Devil’s Hour' and Apple’s 'Surface.'

As cast negotiations continue, Warner Bros Television has already begun laying the groundwork for a potential Season 4.

Preliminary steps are being taken to reassemble the writers' room, a crucial component in bringing the next chapter of 'Ted Lasso' to life. Insider sources indicate that if all elements align, production could begin as early as 2025.

Although the third season was not officially labeled as the final installment, it was evident that the decision to continue would hinge on whether Sudeikis and the creative team could develop a compelling direction for the story.
