Texas Democrat Bobby Pulido blasted for 'bloody Trump' costume after deadly ICE attack

AUSTIN, TEXAS: South Texas congressional hopeful Bobby Pulido is under fire for his rhetoric against President Donald Trump and Republicans.
Critics argue his words are feeding a “sickness” and “spreading hate,” especially after a deadly anti-ICE shooting rocked Dallas this week.
Mayra Flores says Bobby Pulido and Democrats are fanning flames
Former Texas Rep. Mayra Flores, the first Mexican-born woman elected to Congress, told Fox News that Pulido and other Democrats have been “attacking our men and women serving this country for enforcing the laws.”
“It’s this type of hateful rhetoric that is causing innocent lives to be lost,” Flores said. “Because of that, we’re seeing all these shootings, and it will continue to happen since this rhetoric is coming from members of Congress and senators.”
“They need to set an example,” she added. “Americans are looking up to these individuals. If they’re spreading hate, then that instills hate as well towards our men and women in law enforcement.”

Bobby Pulido’s long crusade against Donald Trump
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) blasted the Tejano star for what they called a “lengthy history of engaging in violent, extreme political rhetoric.”
Pulido condemned the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk earlier this month. “I don’t care what side of the political aisle you are, what happened to Charlie Kirk is abhorrent,” he posted on September 10. “The political rhetoric needs to be brought down on both sides. I pray for him, his family, and also for our country.”

But Republicans argue this does not align with his past actions. In Halloween 2015, Pulido dressed as a blood-soaked Donald Trump. A screenshot of the since-deleted post showed a fake-bloodied Trump alongside a caption in Spanish, “Years ago, Donald Trump and Paquita had a son. Here is the exclusive image.”

In 2017, he slammed Trump voters as racist: “That’s what racist America wanted, that’s what you got,” he wrote in response to a story about farms suffering under immigration policies.
Back in 2016, Pulido wrote that Trump was “racist all the way” and that “his candidacy plays to the alt right.” Just this August, Pulido accused Republicans of “literally becoming everything they accused others of being. Marxists and fascists.”
Pulido also voiced support for Black Lives Matter, posting a black square for “Blackout Tuesday” and sharing a Houston rally video with the caption “#GodBlessTexas.”
He once said in a video that “there’s a lot of great cops out there,” but added, “at the end of the day, there’s not a country out there that doesn’t oppress.” In 2017, he even used Spanish profanities to describe “racist” police officers.
Mayra Flores warns Bobby Pulido to stop political games as Republicans pile on
Flores urged Pulido and other Democrats to “please stop playing political games with our men and women that are just doing their job.”
“At the end of the day, we’re all Americans. We want the best for our communities, and they should not prioritize their political party over safety,” she said.
She added that Pulido’s fan base gave him even greater responsibility. “He is an icon in the Tejano industry. A lot of people look up to his music, and so he has an obligation to talk about this issue and show respect towards our law enforcement men and women because he has such a huge fan base,” Flores said.

The NRCC doubled down with a statement from spokesman Reilly Richardson: “Bobby Pulido’s history of engaging in extreme political rhetoric is utterly disqualifying. Radical Democrats like Pulido have been unapologetically demonizing ICE agents and law enforcement for years. A deep and pervasive sickness has infected the radical left in this country, and Democrats like Bobby Pulido are feeding it.”
