BRENTWOOD, TENNESSEE: Even from their prison cells, reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley continue to profit handsomely from their assets.

According to recently uncovered property records, the convicted Chrisleys sold their lavish Tennessee mansion for $5.2 million in April 2023 through a quiet, off-market sale - netting a solid profit despite both currently serving lengthy federal prison sentences for fraud and tax evasion, as reported by TMZ.

The 13,279 square foot Brentwood property was purchased by the Chrisleys in 2019 for $3.375 million before they were indicted on charges that eventually saw Todd sentenced to 12 years in federal prison and Julie sentenced to 7 years.

Featuring amenities like an indoor basketball court, professional chef's kitchen and sprawling pool area, the palatial French country home served as Todd's location for his year-long house arrest leading up to his imprisonment.

According to property records, the Chrisleys' Tennessee estate sold in an off-market deal for $5.2 million in April 2023, just months after the couple began serving their respective sentences. The quiet sale appears to have helped pay down the over $17 million in restitution that the judge ordered.

The couple also owns another Nashville-area property, but it is unknown if attempts have been made to sell that residence as well. Even with both Chrisleys locked away in federal prison, they still managed to broker a lucrative real estate transaction to divest themselves of the lavish property that viewers of their reality show 'Chrisley Knows Best' came to know well.

Adding to the skepticism, a user pondered the logistics, asking, "From prison they can sell? Who is getting the money."

Meanwhile, one user injected a dose of humor into the discussion, quipping, "How did they get 5 million for a house you can build for 2 million in Tennessee; it must have come with 10,000 acres."
