LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charlie Sheen revealed that his twin sons are glad to have a sober father around them.

Talking with People, the ‘Two and a Half Men’ alum also talked about his ex-wife Brooke Mueller’s reported struggle with her sobriety. "She's trying to figure some stuff out on her end," he said.

"The boys are proud of me, now. They see what mom goes through, and I'm not dumping on mom because I know it's a thing," he added.

"But I think they're super grateful that they have a Dad that is present, accounted for, responsible, focused, punctual."

Sheen shares his twin sons with Brooke Mueller

Sheen and Muller share joint custody of the twins and as the paperwork states, "Brooke shall enjoy reasonable and flexible periods of custody and visitation as agreed and arranged between the Parties, recognizing the goal of frequent and continuous contact between the minors and both parents."

Though both share physical custody of the boys, it further mentions, "the minor children's primary residence will be with [Sheen]."

The agreement also mentions that Mueller will undergo drug and alcohol testing at least weekly, as well as "as often as required by her probation officer" or "within 24 hours of a written request (email or text) from [Sheen] or his attorney," which they have the right to continue until the twins turn 18 or graduate high school (whichever is later).

How many children does Sheen have?

Sheen is also father to daughters Sami, 19, and Lola, 18, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and 39-year-old Cassandra Jade Estevez, with ex-girlfriend Paula Speert.

Last month, Charlie acknowledged that his twins, Max and Bob, live with him full-time, and he spends the majority of his time doing "single dad stuff" with them.

"I've mostly been raising my 14-year-old boys," he said to a news organization.

Charlie told OK! magazine, "You know, the time spent worshipping their devices..." The 58-year-old added, "Although on the flip side, when they're doing that it gives me a little time to not be dragging them all over the city. But I also feel like the screens detract them from having other opportunities to expand their minds in other areas."

The actor also shared that children don't bother whether you're famous or not, "It doesn't matter. Whatever we're doing that might be important and connected to our job, or some high brow moment of responsibility, the kids don't care."
