She added, "I was hacked! As you all know, I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me, just know that it is not me!"

The post in question, which her account had “liked,” featured an image of Jay-Z alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, both named as defendants in the lawsuit. The interaction sparked widespread discussion online before Knowles issued her clarification.

Jay-Z slams allegations as 'heinous'

Jay-Z, 55, has publicly denied the allegations in the suit, calling them a “heinous” and “false blackmail attempt.” He addressed the potential impact of the headlines on his family, including his 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

"My only heartbreak is for my family," he wrote on social media. "My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of young people,” he added.

“I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”

Jay-Z went on, "These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all 'celebrities' are the same. I'm not from your world. I'm a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn."

Jay-Z addressed the allegations with a strong statement, "We don't play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable."

Jay-Z has been married to Beyonce since 2008, and they share three children, Blue Ivy and 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.

When the lawsuit was first filed in October, Diddy was the sole defendant named. His legal team dismissed the claims, describing the case as an "extortion attempt." At the time, the names of two additional celebrities — Carter and an unnamed female star — were withheld.

A woman identified in the lawsuit as Jane Doe alleges that the incident occurred while she was outside the VMAs in New York City, attempting to gain entry to the event. According to the suit, she approached limousines transporting guests inside, and one driver, claiming to work for Combs, invited her to an afterparty.

According to the lawsuit, the woman was reportedly asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement upon arriving at the residence for the afterparty. She claims she was later drugged after being served a drink at the event.

Combs is presently in custody, facing charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, with his trial set to commence in May 2025.
