Tom Arnold slams Chuck Lorre as ‘terrible human’ over ‘Roseanne’ claims in new memoir
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Arnold has called out Chuck Lorre over the claims he’s made in his new memoir, ‘Sitcom’.
The actor accused Lorre, who worked as a writer and producer on the ABC sitcom ‘Roseanne’ for two seasons, of lying and being “a terrible human”.
Tom Arnold calls Chuck Lorre 'a bitter hack'
Taking to X, Arnold wrote, “He thinks he's brilliant & beloved like Norman Lear but Chuck 'Chuckles' Lorre's a terrible human, an angry dry drunk who lies every time he opens his mouth.”

The 67-year-old comedian also claimed that though Lorre criticizes President Donald Trump, he’s “a bitter hack who actually believes his lame vanity cards at the end of his lame shows are Paddy Chayefsky worthy.”
Tom Arnold claims Chuck Lorre 'hates himself more than we ever could'
Arnold also alleged that the TV producer, 73, has made millions of dollars over the years because of “very talented women & a naive, cracked-up Charlie Sheen” but has now been defaming them to “feel cool but don't worry, Chuck hates himself more than we ever could.”
Concluding his post, the ‘True Lies’ star added, “I wish everyone could've seen his arrogant, sad clown face the day Roseanne made me fire him.”
Arnold did not specify what Lorre has mentioned in his new book, released on October 13.
Chuck Lorre compares working on ‘Roseanne’ to 'cruelty'
But the writer in an interview published on his book release day, claimed that the ‘Roseanne’ writers “were punished”.
“The word 'cruelty' comes to mind. And I still don't know why, why so much cruelty. It wasn't like we didn't want to make a great show. We were proud to be on that show,” he stated.
Lorre also further revealed that he was hired on the show after Danny Jacobson was fired.
In his book, he said, “Danny, having been fired by Roseanne for being talented, was packing up his stuff when I walked in. He showed me a sloppy, hand-scribbled couple of pages and explained this was a 'script' by the show's new executive producer, Tom Arnold. It had been part of Danny's job to write real scripts and put Tom's name on the front page — as if Tom had written them.”
“Bob, myself, and several other staff writers would be ordered to do this on many occasions.... Was it a portent of bad things to come? You tell me,” Lorre reportedly added.
Chuck Lorre attacks Anna Faris in his book
This came as Lorre made a scathing comment against Anna Faris as well in his book.
The actress responded, saying, "Yikes. Yes, I read a few things. I really didn’t see that coming. Of course it hurts. Chuck gave me a job I loved, and for seven years I never took a day of it for granted. I’m proud of what we made together, and nothing changes how grateful I am for those people and those years."
