Jodie Sweetin says she's still close to the 'Full House' cast
Sweetin's comments about Coulier came as she discussed the close bond shared by the 'Full House' cast.
She said, “We’re still super close. We’re all doing 90s Con in Hartford this coming weekend. Yeah, we’re like obnoxiously annoyingly close. Andrea Barber and I just stayed at Dave Coulier’s for a weekend. Yeah, we’re a family.”
“He’s doing great. We did an arts fundraiser for arts programs in Detroit called The Coney that we went out there and did. It was so much fun and he’s doing great,” the stand-up comedian added.
Sweetin also acknowledged Coulier's difficult experience during his cancer treatment, saying, “Sitting around and having coffee with him in the morning meant so much.”
Dave Coulier describes his cancer battle as 'a roller coaster ride'
Earlier this year, on the occasion of World Cancer Day, Coulier shared an update on his health, saying, “It’s been a roller coaster ride for sure. I’m in remission with both cancers. And what a journey this has been.”
In May, he addressed concerns from fans and followers about his weight loss and physical appearance.
He said on Instagram, “What you're seeing is the side effects of the extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat, and so I haven't been able to eat solid food in months. So I've lost 45 pounds. That's what you're seeing. And it's affected my ability to speak.”
Coulier further explained, “Some of you said that I sound differently, so, yeah, you're right on with what you're seeing and what you're hearing. But just a recap: a year-and-a-half ago, I had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and I went through chemotherapy. My hair is kind of growing back,” before adding, “We got our PET scans back, and the prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma.”
