Tom Cruise ‘looking forward’ to returning to America after five years in the UK
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Tom Cruise is heading back to the US after a glorious five-year stay in the United Kingdom.
Cruise, 62, was stationed in the British Isles for the last five years as he was filming the last two films of his ‘Mission: Impossible’ series. Now that he has wrapped up filming the eighth ‘MI’ film on Thursday, October 10, the 62-year-old actor is all set to relocate to the US.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hollywood hunk was spotted boarding his helicopter at Battersea as he was preparing for his subsequent journey back to the States.
Tom Cruise to relocate to the US
Recently, a source close to Tom Cruise gushed about the 'Top Gun: Maverick' star's love for the country.
The source shared with The Sun, “Tom has made the UK his home for five years and he absolutely loves it here.”
The source added that one of the reasons the ‘Knight and Day’ star is moving back to the US is to stay close to his son Connor and his friends as well.
“There is no doubt he'll be back at some point when he greases the wheels for the next 'Mission: Impossible' outing, but Tom is looking forward to returning to the US to be closer to his son Connor and his friends,” shared the source to the outlet.
Moreover, the source noted that Cruise’s five-year stay in the UK has also wrought considerable changes in the actor as he seems “so much happier".
The source added, “The transformation has been pretty incredible - England has done him and his wider reputation the world of good, and he's so much happier for it.”
The news of his relocation came shortly after Daily Mail reported that Cruise looked concerned during one of his recent outings in London as Hurricane Milton battered parts of America earlier this week.
Furthermore, Cruise’s apartment complex - where he owns a luxury penthouse - in Clearwater, Florida, is also feared to be in the eye of the storm.
The ‘Jerry Maguire’ actor has owned his apartment in Florida since 2016. It is said that he chose the location for its close proximity to the Scientology headquarters in Florida.

Tom Cruise gushes about love for Britain in 2022 interview
Tom Cruise, who allegedly spent the Covid-19 quarantine cocooned in the former Scientology headquarters in East Grinstead in West Sussex, gushed about his love for England during an interview in 2022.
Per Mirror, the New York native said, “I guess I am an Anglophile. I spend a lot of time in Britain and that's not just for work reasons.”
He continued, “It's a fantastic blend of old and new. I love seeing the sights, the Tower of London, Nelson's Column, Buckingham Palace and all those fantastic places which are just full of history.”
“Britain is trendy, too, and has a lot that other countries then copy,” added the star before continuing, “I also love the British countryside.”
He elaborated, “Seeing cows and sheep in the fields here is just so very British and just like we see in the movies in America.”
“I always wondered whether it is really like that. It's great to go back to the US and say, "Yes, it really is",” continued Cruise.
He gushed, "It is breathtaking and I found myself wanting to explore more and more,” and added, "That's the reason I have made a few other visits in my own time that have nothing to do with work. Everyone is pleasant and will give you a nod or say hello without crowding you. I was brought up to be well-mannered and you really get that in Britain.”
Cruise noted, "I also like the fact that I am walking the same streets as Shakespeare, Dickens, and even The Beatles. That is really cool."
