Tom Holland puts Zendaya split rumors to rest by sharing a clip of actress from her new film 'Challengers'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Holland put the rumors of his break up with Zendaya to rest when he shared a clip of the 'Dune: Part Two' actress to his Instagram Story.

Of late, it has been speculated that the 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' stars were no longer together after they failed to make public appearances together for a long time.

However, after making a joint appearance together at the 'Dune: Part Two' premiere afterparty in London in mid-February, Holland took another step in squashing the rumors.

The couple, who seldom open up about their relationship on social media, sparked breakup rumors after they had not seen together since October 2023. Moreover, in January this year, Zendaya unfollowed everyone from her Instagram, including Holland, strengthening the speculations.

However, Holland recently shared a clip from Zendaya fan page @slaylikedaya featuring a behind-the-scenes peek from the 27-year-old actress' new film 'Challengers'.

He showered love for his girlfriend by adding three heart-eye emojis along with the post and tagged @challengersmovie, as per Daily Mail.

The clip shared by Holland contains edited footage from a post shared on the Challengers Instagram account and starts with a close-up of Zendaya's eye.

'Challengers', which is slated to release in April, also features Josh O'Connor and Broadway actor Mike Faist in pivotal roles. In the movie, Zendaya plays Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, determined to put her husband's career back on track by making him play a challenger event after he goes through a streak of losses. 

The clip shared by Holland also featured a few other shots of the 'Euphoria' actress playing tennis in a cute white tennis dress, sporting the much-talked-about blunt bob.

Tom Holland on watching 'Spider-Man' with Zendaya

Holland is not only squashing the rumors by sharing clips of Zendaya’s upcoming film but also reminiscing old films.

The two became fast friends after meeting for the first time on the set of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' in 2017. Their friendship soon turned into a relationship, becoming Gen-Z role models ever since.

Speaking to Extra per Glamour Magazine during the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, the 27-year-old British actor shared that he often watches the first Spider-Man movie with Zendaya and reminisces about the past.

He shared, "Zendaya and I will, every now and then, watch Spider-Man 1 and reminisce about being 19 and making those movies again. I love those movies, and I love savoring those moments, so I try not to watch them as often as I would maybe like to because it's so special."

"It's such a luxury, such a gift to be able to sit down and sort of relive your youth," expressed the 'Uncharted' actor. 

Meanwhile, during her appearance on BuzzFeed’s 'The Puppy Interview', Zendaya couldn't help but gush over Holland's "beautiful charisma."
