'Total slob': White House unloads on Rosie O'Donnell after her latest Trump blast
WASHINGTON, DC: The White House fired back at Rosie O'Donnell after the comedian repeatedly criticized President Donald Trump while hosting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' with spokesperson Davis Ingle issuing a scathing personal statement
The statement came after O'Donnell ended her temporary run on Thursday, August 20, with a song criticizing Trump and calling for him to resign.
White House targets Rosie O'Donnell personally
“Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Ingle wrote in a statement to Entertainment Weekly on Friday.
The statement directly addressed O'Donnell's criticism of Trump during her guest-hosting run on ABC's late-night show.
O'Donnell had repeatedly criticized Trump during her nightly monologues and said she believed the president had watched every night of her run.

The two have been public adversaries for at least two decades, with their sparring dating to O'Donnell's first stint on ‘The View’ from 2006-2007.
Trump also criticized O'Donnell during controversial remarks made during his 2016 presidential campaign.
Her return to television therefore brought their longstanding public conflict back into the spotlight.
Comedian ended her run with a Trump song
O'Donnell embraced the White House's “nasty woman” label during Thursday's broadcast, introducing herself as “nasty Rosie O'Donnell” before calling Trump “orange Voldemort.”
She then sang a critical version of “Danny Boy” in her final monologue, targeting Trump's appearance, his reflecting pool and ballroom project, and his handling of Iran.
“Poor Donnie boy, your polls, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew. Your wig’s a mess, your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you bit off more than you can chew,” she sang.

O'Donnell ended the performance with a direct call for Trump to leave office.
“Since we all know you’ll never be Obama, why not resign and make this country great again?” she sang.
The 64-year-old comedian's temporary hosting stint followed her return to the United States this summer for her one-woman New York City stage show, 'Common Knowledge'.
Rosie O'Donnell is weighing another TV return
O'Donnell had moved to Ireland ahead of Trump's second inauguration in early 2025, according to the outlet.
She returned to America this summer for her stage show and her guest-hosting appearance.
Rumors that she could permanently take over Kimmel's show also circulated, but O'Donnell denied that speculation.
Rosie O'Donnell: "A special hello to those of you watching from home and from the White House. I do have some bad news for President Petty Roosevelt. She has instead discussed the possibility of returning to permanent television in another capacity, the outlet reported.
“I suppose, because the syndication market is pretty much dead, I think I would be open to doing it on a streaming service,” O'Donnell said on the Tangle podcast.
She added that her agents were “taking meetings and figuring out what would be the best option,” but said she wanted any new television role to begin when Trump was no longer in power.
“That’s when I’d want it to start, and that’s when the healing must begin,” she said.
Earlier this week, O'Donnell also revealed that Barbra Streisand had sent her a supportive message praising her time on Kimmel.
