Fans draw parallels between Travis Kelce 'Grotesquerie' role and Taylor Swift's song
The NFL star made his screen debut as Ed Lachlan, a drug-addicted nurse who serves as a potential romantic interest for Detective Lois Tryon, played by Niecy Nash-Betts.
Ed initially encountered Lois at the hospital, where her spouse lay unconscious. Ed found her smoking a cigarette while sitting on a bench, and he continued sweet-talking the detective until she took out a flask and started to drink. Despite his warning not to get in her car, she drove after drinking.
In the following scene, Ed serves as Lois' nurse when she wakes up in the hospital after crashing her car into a pole. Ed complies with Lois' persuasion to leave the hospital secretly, even though her doctor has forbidden it.

Ed and Lois leave the scene in a passionate and flirtatious situation, walking away in his red convertible hand in hand.
A theory on social media suggested that Lois and Ed's getaway vehicle was a subliminal nod to one of his girlfriend's hits, as per Daily Mail.
Many fans have seen analogies between the song 'Getaway Car', a fan favorite from Swift's 2017 album 'Reputation', and Kelce's character's getaway car in the series.
One fan tweeted, "Omg it’s the getaway car!" in response to footage of the getaway scene from the series uploaded on X (formerly Twitter).
Another exclaimed, "OF COURSE THEY DRIVE OFF IN A RED CONVERTIBLE GETAWAY CAR THIS WAS FOR US SWIFTIES."
"Lol . Taylor must be laughing now," commented one more, alluding to the pop star's fondness for Easter eggs. Another responded, writing, "Not the Taylor swift reference."

Taylor Swift fans believe Travis Kelce referred to her cooking skills in 'Grotesquerie'
Meanwhile, fans of the pop star believed that her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce addressed her talent for cooking toaster pastries in the 'Grotesquerie' series.
At one point, Kelce's character Ed tells Nash-Betts's character Lois, "You know what I like? Pop-Tarts without the frosting." Lois gives Ed a cake as a token of appreciation.
