KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: NFL star Travis Kelce has a pretty relaxed approach to his high-profile relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift. Known for his dynamic presence on the field, Kelce stated he doesn't mind being the "arm candy" for the singer.

In a segment aired on 'CBS Mornings' on Thursday, September 5, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared cheerful as host Jamie Yuccas inquired about his experience living in the limelight alongside his superstar girlfriend.

Travis Kelce on how he deals with being in the limelight over his Taylor Swift romance

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift started dating last year during a high-profile season for the Kansas City Chiefs, ending with the team's historic back-to-back Super Bowl win. Their romance has been grabbing a lot of attention as both Swift and Kelce do not shy away from showing their support for each other.

While Swift has been spotted cheering on her beau during Chiefs games, Kelce has also attended quite a few of her Eras Tour concerts, even landing a small gig during her London Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium on June 23.

Speaking about being constantly under public glare because of his relationship with Swift, Kelce told Yuccas, “It’s the life I chose, I guess."

“I have fun with it," he added with a laugh.

“It comes with the territory of wanting to do fun activities like this and signing up for cool sponsorships like this and endorsements," he further said during the interview that was conducted on the set of his Pepsi commercial, which is a new rendition of the brand's 2004 Gladiator-themed advertisement, featuring stars like Britney Spears, Beyonce, Pink, and Enrique Iglesias, People reported.

Regarding how his family has adapted to the spotlight, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said the Kelces are welcoming their new fame, with his mother, Donna Kelce, particularly enjoying it.

“Everyone’s loving it. Mama Kelce is having so much fun,” he explained. “I think my dad is slowly getting more comfortable with it, and Jason has always been a pro at it,” he spoke of his brother, Jason Kelce, the 36-year-old retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Travis Kelce admits he can't pick a favorite Taylor Swift song

However, when asked to choose his favorite Taylor Swift song, Travis Kelce finds it impossible to select only one.

“Oh, a bunch of them. They’re all my favorite, literally, every single one,” he told 'CBS Mornings'. “You see me at a concert, you’ll see me singing them all.”

Kelce shared his thoughts on why people "are rooting for him" now.

“I hope it’s because they see I’m just a genuinely good person and I love what I do and I love doing it with the people that I’m doing it with,” he added.

“I’d rather give everybody happiness and something to cheer about than otherwise.”

Earlier this month, Kelce acknowledged that Swift has been devising plays for him for the NFL season, following his teammate Patrick Mahomes' recent revelation of the matter.

During an interview on the 'Rich Eisen Show' on September 3, Kelce remarked, “She’s a little biased and just creates plays for me. We’ll see if they can make it to Coach Reid’s office.”

“She had just been so open to learning the game, she didn’t know much about the rules or anything … I think she was just curious about the profession,” he continued.

“I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach Reid yet, but if they ever do I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.”

Rumors of the couple's dating began in September 2023, and Swift was seen at her first Chiefs game shortly thereafter. They confirmed their relationship the next month when they were spotted holding hands at a 'Saturday Night Live' afterparty.
