KANSAS CITY, KANSAS: Three-time Super Bowl champion tight end Travis Kelce is not without his fears, one of which featured prominently in a nightmare that he claimed jolted him awake in a cold sweat.

The Kansas City Chiefs standout, unafraid of any opponent on the NFL field, disclosed a particular item and situation that caused him to gag and lose sleep.

Travis Kelce reveals nightmare about hotdog-eating contest

In the most recent episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, Travis and his older brother Jason Kelce talked about hotdogs. Travis then shared that he had a nightmare about participating in a hotdog-eating contest.

"Honestly dude, a hotdog eating contest might be a nightmare," he said. "I think I might have actually woken up in a dead sweat out of sleep one time because I was in a hot dog eating contest against my will."

Jason responded to the incident, "You had a hotdog eating contest nightmare?"

"Dude, I mean just the smell, and you're stuffing yourself until you have to vomit," Travis went on to say. "And then I already have to vomit because of the texture."

Jason argued that mayonnaise is less desirable than hotdogs. The ex-Eagles star claimed that there are competitions where participants consume five jars of mayonnaise each.

Travis claimed, "Nobody would ever do that"

"That's a real thing," Jason responded. When the older brother requested the producer to find clips of mayonnaise eating contests, Travis disclosed that he "got chills," from the idea.

"I didn't have lunch, Jason," Travis further added. "I don't wanna do this."

"I'm kind of embarrassed that I watched this to begin with," said Jason. "I should have known better. I couldn't help myself."
