Inside Jason Kelce's retirement from the NFL
On March 4, Jason officially announced his retirement. "I am retiring from the NFL," he shared in an emotional speech at a press conference.
"And today I must admit I am officially overrated. Vastly overrated. But f**k, it took a lot of hard work and determination getting here," said the former football center.
"I have been the underdog my entire career and I mean this when I say it, I wish I still was. Few things gave me more joy than proving someone wrong," he added, according to ET.
Jason, who has played for the Eagles since 2011, is a Super Bowl champion, seven-time Pro Bowl selection, and six-time All-Pro honoree.
In a previous episode on his podcast, Jason revealed the reason behind his decision to retire from the NFL.
"The reality was, it was more firm than it's ever been this year that I just don't think physically I can compete at the level that I want to anymore," he shared.
