Travis Kelce shares his trick to avoid ‘stuffing his face' with junk food ahead of 35th birthday
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: As Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce approaches his 35th birthday on October 5, the football player is cutting back on junk food to stay in top form.
Kelce, 34, revealed his strategy for resisting indulgent treats during the October 2 episode of his 'New Heights podcast', which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.

Despite being tempted by a box of Neil’s Donuts, Travis joked, “Good thing they’re over there,” while reminiscing about his love for LaMar’s Donuts in Kansas City, Missouri. "The yellow boxes are dangerous," he added with a laugh, acknowledging the temptation.
“Just, I see that golden glazed doughnut just sitting in the yellow box, I’m just like, ‘I don’t need that today, I’ll get it tomorrow,’ knowing that they don’t have boxes of doughnuts every day,” Travis explained.
Travis shared that he has to “push it away” when it comes to sugary snacks during the NFL season.
His strategy? Simply lying to himself about when he’ll indulge, "I just lie to myself so that I don’t just grab 10 doughnuts and run around the corner and just stuff my face like a little fat kid,” he said humorously.
His brother Jason, 36, chimed in, empathizing with Travis about the reality of aging in the NFL and the need to manage their diet more carefully.
“It’s a sad day when you realize you’ve hit that age where you can’t just eat whatever you want anymore,” Jason said, recalling how he used to enjoy ice cream before games until he reached his 12th season.
Travis chuckled as he admitted that indulging in desserts now makes him feel "lethargic," jokingly saying, "I just feel like a big blob. Am I bloated? Am I bloating?"
Taylor Swift takes charge to help Travis Kelce get back in shape amid weight gain criticism
Pop superstar Taylor Swift is reportedly on a mission to help her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, regain his peak fitness after facing backlash over recent weight gain. According to an insider who spoke to Life & Style, Swift feels "guilty" that Kelce's offseason indulgences may have contributed to his current form.
The source revealed, "All the commentators are saying that he partied like a monster during the offseason, and he’s only got himself to blame for being out of shape and out of form."
The criticism stems from Kelce’s perceived lack of discipline during the offseason, where he enjoyed social outings and celebratory dinners alongside Swift and her friends.
Swift is reportedly determined to help Kelce get back on track, feeling somewhat responsible for the situation.
"Taylor and Travis both insist it’s being blown out of proportion, but there’s no doubt Taylor feels a little guilty that it’s gotten to this point," the insider shared, referencing their fun-filled offseason.
Kelce, 34, is said to have let his diet slide even after training camp, indulging in parties and social activities at Swift’s request.
Swift has now made it her personal mission to support Kelce in shedding the weight and regaining his athletic physique. "She’s promised to join him on the diet for support, at least when they’re together. That means all the junk food is off the table, no sugar, and definitely no drinking," the insider added.
