LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Grammy Award viewers have been expressing their opinions online following the announcement that Trevor Noah will host the annual program for the fifth year in a row.

The former 'Daily Show' host, who presented the 63rd, 64th, 65th, and 66th installments of the Grammys, will also serve as producer of the 67th annual event.

The 40-year-old comic will take center stage once more at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2, per Daily Mail.

Trevor Noah will host 2025 Grammy Awards for the fifth year in a row

As the former host of Comedy Central's late-night show 'The Daily Show', Noah is known for his breakthrough success. He has received numerous honors for his work, including two Emmy Awards. He has hosted the Grammys each year since being host for the first time in 2021.

In an interview with 'CBS Mornings' co-anchor Gayle King before the 2024 ceremony, Noah said that while the improvised hosting elements can be "nerve-wracking," they are also a part of what he appreciates about the job, per CBS News.

"I don't know what's going to happen. So that's what I love about the Grammys is it's live; it's happening; it's on the fly," he said at the time.

A wide range of nominees will be honored at the ceremony in February. Beyonce is the most nominated artist this year, with an aggregate score of 11 for her album 'Cowboy Carter'.

Despite the horrific wildfires that have ravaged large portions of Los Angeles in recent weeks, the Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, February 2, and will proceed as scheduled.

Many music professionals were among the thousands of inhabitants who lost their homes, according to officials, whose names were on a spreadsheet that circulated to solicit donations following the fires.

While several entertainment industry organizations postponed their planned ceremonies or announcements due to the fires, the Grammys' host, the Recording Academy, announced that it will refocus the upcoming show on relief efforts rather than postpone or cancel it.

"The 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours," CBS announced in a news statement confirming Noah as the event's host.

Grammys fans urge for 'another host' following Trevor Noah as host announcement

The announcement, however, might not have drawn the response organizers had hoped for as fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) with posts expressing their desire for someone new to assume the duties.

One X user wrote, "We need another host , Trevor is very boring !!"

A second user snarked, "Guess he’s the only guy left who still picks up their calls. lol."

A third user added, "Boooo! so bland with his jokes. can we get an actual comedian who isn’t scared of making fun of celebs."

"Trevor is great, but they need to switch it up a bit," another remarked.

One quipped, "Trevor Noah hosting the Grammys again? At this point, he’s got more Grammy gigs than most artists have awards. Consistency is key, I guess."

"Trevor Noah sold his humour to host the Grammys forever," mocked one, while another said, "It’s getting stale now."

Another noted, "Pls if you’re not international you’ve no business on that stage! Trevor is a wold figure, if you must switch it, you must come up with a world popularly known celebrity, bcus Grammy is now for the world."
