Beyonce’s fans urge her to host an 'SNL' episode after 'hilarious' Destiny's Child skit resurfaces

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce’s fans want the singing superstar to take the stage on ‘Saturday Night Live’ once again amid the show’s 50th anniversary celebration this year. 

As the popular weekend show is celebrating its golden jubilee this year, an old clip from ‘SNL’ has resurfaced on the Internet, where Beyonce did not shy away from mocking herself.

The skit went viral on TikTok before the app faced a potential ban on Sunday, January 19. In the skit, Beyonce, along with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, had fun while mocking themselves.

Old hilarious ‘SNL’ clip of Beyonce resurfaces on Internet

Beyonce, 43, has appeared on the show a total of five times, twice with Destiny’s Child and thrice as a solo artist. 

In the clip from her appearance with Destiny’s Child, her fellow bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams had a singing battle with 'SNL' stars Maya Rudolph and Kathryn Hahn, reported The Mirror.

While Maya and Kathryn trolled the R&B group by spoofing Destiny’s Child’s 2000 hit ‘Independent Woman Part 1’, the trio stepped up to mock themselves. 

As Maya and Kathryn sang, “Big ups to my mom,” Destiny’s Child responded humorously, “Because she had me,” mirroring the call-and-response style of music followed by the band at that time. 

When the music battle continued with Maya and Kathryn singing, “Big ups to my pops,” the trio replied, “Because he banked me.”

The back-and-forth continued with the 'SNL' cast members singing, “Big up to my girls,” and the music group responding, “Because they back me,” while giving a slight twerk to the camera. 

“Holla if you hear me,” continued Maya and Kathryn, as the trio backed up, “Big ups to me.” 

As the back-and-forth progressed, the musical group started referencing the criticism trolls often made about them. 

When Kelly sang that her “hair was weaved,” Beyonce chimed in with, “All the leads.” 

Michelle further said that she was “just here,” referencing the criticism she received from the fans of the band.

Beyonce's fans begged the Grammy winner for another illustrious appearance on 'SNL' as her old clip went viral on social media.

"I love fun Beyoncé. Please do SNL again ughhh," noted one of the fans. 

According to The Mirror, One of the fans noted on TikTok, "I want Beyonce to host an SNL episode so bad. I know she’d be hilarious.” 

“Beyonce’s facial expressions has me weakkk [laughing emojis],” penned one person, while another declared, “They need to run this back today.”

“This is one of my fave SNL skits from back in that time! I still sand it to this day," added someone else.
