Trump advisor Peter Navarro slammed as he demands Elon Musk ban anonymous users from ‘cesspool’ X

WASHINGTON, DC: White House senior trade advisor Peter Navarro sparked outrage on social media on Monday, September 15, after he called on Elon Musk to boot anonymous users and “foreigners” from his social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Navarro was responding to Musk's post that read, “We must fight back or be murdered," in light of the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
“My friend @ElonMusk. How about you start fighting back by cleaning up the cesspool otherwise known as X,” Navarro wrote. “No more anonymous posts. No more foreigners swarming your platform and polluting our political discourse. X has become a breeding ground and grooming Academy for the very dark forces. You wanna fight back. Physician, heal itself. Elon, heal X.”

Conservatives lash out at Peter Navarro
The reaction was immediate and brutal, especially from Peter Navarro’s side of the aisle.

One alleged, "The only reason we know that the killer was part of a trantifa terrorist cell is because of anon posters Peter. Doing this would immediately destroy huge parts of the maga base. You should delete this post."
Another wrote, "No more anonymous posts? That’s ridiculous. Anonymity was one of the key principles America was founded on, allowing for individuals to speak freely without fear of government retaliation. Terrible take."
"Some of the on the right are 'anonymous' on here because they would be HUNTED. This idea risks the lives of these users," a person remarked.
"Hey Dips**t, not all of us can afford armed guards and gated communities. When we speak the truth, we can be fired at a minimum, and our whole family murdered by leftists once they know who we are, at the extreme. The past few days have been very telling on that. And now you would lift our collective masks? F**k right off with that," someone else fumed.
"This is your dumbest tweet Peter. Anonymity is even more important to the Right than the Left. You have zero understanding of the contours of this debate at all," one more wrote.

Even big names jumped in. Republican Sen Rand Paul (R-KY) snarked, “Careful @elonmusk – I think he might want to slap a tariff on you or something.” First Amendment lawyer Adam Steinbaugh mocked Navarro’s line. “‘No more foreigners’ on the internet, argues serious person," he quipped.

Peter Navarro doubles down on demand
Peter Navarro doubled down during an appearance on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored' on Monday night.
I always knew Peter Navarro was a faker. End online anonymity? So now Navarro is like Nikki Haley? Peter Navarro is not a patriot. Never was. He has always been a charlatan. pic.twitter.com/Ngf3OtwOEf

“Elon, come on. Let’s get real, brother. X is the biggest cesspool of violent rhetoric in the country other than Facebook and if you want to make a real contribution, Elon, clean that damn thing up,” he said. “And I’ll tell you, Piers, here’s what should be done on X and Facebook and everywhere else. No more anonymity. No more hiding behind the mask of anonymity on social media.”
Navarro added, “If you won’t say something to somebody’s face in a civil setting, then you damn well shouldn’t be allowed to say it on X or Facebook or Instagram.”
Elon Musk's remarks on Charlie Kirk’s horrific killing
The backdrop to Peter Navarro’s tirade is Elon Musk’s own anger over Charlie Kirk's death.
“And then you see how much violence there is on the left,” the tech billionaire recently fumed. “With our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week. And people on the left celebrating it openly. The left is the party of murder and celebrating murder. I mean, let that sink in for a minute. That’s who we’re dealing with here.”

Kirk was fatally shot during a campus event in Utah on September 10. Police say the suspected shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, confessed after being taken into custody.

Musk, who’s been inching further right in recent years, framed the killing as proof of a broader cultural war. “That is who we’re dealing with here,” he reiterated, accusing the left of condoning political violence.
