Trump mocks 'terrible' AOC and Jasmine Crockett, says Dems in rough shape heading into 2028 election

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump slammed Democrats for what he called “terrible" politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett.
Speaking with CNN pundit Scott Jennings on Tuesday via radio show, Trump claimed the Democratic Party is in disarray as it heads toward the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election. His remarks come amid growing speculation about his health, following a days-long disappearance from the public eye that sparked false rumors of his death.
Donald Trump lashes out at AOC and Jasmine Crockett during a radio show
“They’re just terrible people. They don’t have a bench,” President Trump said of the Democratic Party during a radio interview with CNN pundit Scott Jennings. He mocked Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), claiming she speaks like a "little mouse,” and suggested that’s why Democratic leaders have been keeping her away from microphones.

Turning to Rep Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), Trump reacted to a viral clip from X in which she ridiculed “crazy” Christian conservatives for getting caught cheating on their wives. “How about Crockett?” Trump said. “I watched her the other day. That can’t be serious. I mean, it can’t be serious.”

Crockett has fired back at Trump in recent weeks. Just last month, she called the president a “piece of s**t.”
Trump also took aim at Rep Maxine Waters (D-CA), criticizing her days after she called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked against him. He described Waters as “an insult to intelligence” and one of the many examples of what he called the Democratic Party’s “terrible” leadership.
Donald Trump expresses frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin

Scott Jennings said the call with President Trump took place Tuesday morning but aired later that day.

“The president is alive and well today, much to the chagrin of the liberal conspiracy theorists out there,” Jennings remarked at the start of the show, referencing recent speculation that Trump had died following an unusual multi-day absence from the public eye last week. “He was in rare form today,” Jennings added.
During the interview, Trump expressed frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the ongoing war in Ukraine. “I’m very disappointed in him,” Trump said. “He and I always had a great relationship. Very disappointed. Thousands of people are dying. They’re not Americans that are dying, but they’re Russians and they’re Ukrainians, and there’s thousands, and it’s a war that makes no sense.”
Trump also revealed he would be holding an “emergency meeting” on Wednesday in response to a federal court ruling against his tariffs. Without them, he warned, the US would become “weak, pathetic, and not rich.”
Internet reacts to Donald Trump's fiery jab at Democrats

Trump’s fiery jab at Democrats, calling them “terrible people,” lit up social media and ignited fierce debate online.
One user wrote, "The stunning hypocrisy of DJT talking about depth when he is so shallow. Dems are in such rough shape heading into the 2026 midterms that Trump is screaming at red states to gerrymander their districts before the election."
A commenter shared, “Republican politicians barely exist. All they do is blow and parrot Donald Trump. That’s one reason why they’re getting roasted at town halls. People have no respect for them. They’re pathetic.”
An individual added, “‘They’re just terrible people. They don’t have a bench.’ He’s scared just like his gerrymandering and for good reason. He’s toast if Democrats get control of both houses in the midterms. He won’t just become a lame duck he’s getting impeached for a 3rd time and unlike last time Dems will likely control the house.”
One person quipped, “Well, he's right, Democrats don't have a bench. In fact, Democrats will be lucky to squeak through the midterms without getting shellacked.”
An internet user asked sarcastically, “And who does he believe the Republican 'bench' currently consists of?.. because once he finally takes that dirt nap, I don't see much on their horizon.”
“I am thrilled to see that nearly 8 out of 10 Americans think that Democrats are worthless. The Democrat base likes what Trump is doing,” a social media user shared.
One more person disagreed, “No Mister president they do have a bench !!! A bunch of bench warmers because they will never move from there because they are incompetent.”
