WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump on Sunday, October 12, intensified his attacks on political opponents, urging federal authorities to investigate Senator Adam Schiff and accusing him of breaking “so many laws and protocols.”

“The Ukraine Impeachment (of me!) Scam was a far bigger Illegal Hoax than Watergate,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “I sincerely hope the necessary authorities, including CONGRESS, are looking into this! Adam ‘Schiffty’ Schiff was sooo dishonest and corrupt. So many laws, and protocols, were violated, and just plain broken!!!”

Trump’s latest comments come after his Department of Justice indicted former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James on separate federal charges.

James Comey and Letitia James' indictments

James Comey was indicted last month on one count of making false statements and one count of obstruction of justice for allegedly lying under oath to Congress. Letitia James, meanwhile, was indicted last week on charges of bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution.

The indictments were presented to a federal grand jury by Lindsey Halligan, the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Halligan was appointed last month after her predecessor, Erik Siebert, resigned following his refusal to prosecute James.

According to officials, Halligan’s office presented extensive evidence to the grand jury linking both Comey and James to alleged misconduct in unrelated cases. Both defendants have denied wrongdoing and vowed to fight the charges.

Trump's post which was apparently meant to be a private message to Pam Bondi

Reports have also resurfaced about a September 20 Truth Social post in which Donald Trump appeared to pressure Attorney General Pam Bondi to take action against his political rivals, including Adam Schiff, James Comey, and Letitia James.

The post, which began with “Pam,” was reportedly intended as a private message, according to The Wall Street Journal and NBC News. Both outlets said Trump was “surprised” when he realized the message had been publicly posted.

In the message, Trump expressed frustration over what he perceived as inaction from prosecutors.

“Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done,’” the POTUS wrote.

He went on to defend his decision to fire a US attorney he described as a “woke RINO” and replace him with Halligan.

“We can’t delay any longer, it’s killing our reputation and credibility,” Trump stated. “They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!”
