LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Social media was surprised to discover that Megan Thee Stallion's lines in her cameo for the 'Mean Girls' reboot had been edited, sparking curiosity when it was revealed that the lines were directed towards Lindsay Lohan, the star of the original 'Mean Girls' film.

Stallion had maintained a low profile since the success of her chart-topping song 'HISS'. However, she found herself in the midst of gossip recently due to a feud with rapper Nicki Minaj, stemming from allegations that Stallion took a jab at Minaj and her husband in her new track 'HISS'.

The feud intensified primarily from Minaj's side, with even her fans facing criticism for extreme behavior such as locating Stallion's mother's grave site, prompting increased security measures in the area due to fear of desecration.

Megan Thee Stallion's line from 'Mean Girls' cameo edited

As per reports from the Shade Room, the 'Mean Girls' reboot, now streaming, has made adjustments to Stallion's cameo. The spotlight shone on Stallion's appearance amid discussions about a line that seemed to disappoint Lohan in the comedy movie that was released in January.

Lohan, renowned for her role as Cady Heron in the original 2004 film, expressed disappointment with Stallion's joke in the new adaptation. A representative for Lohan conveyed her feelings of hurt and disappointment regarding the reference in the movie.

In the reboot, Stallion, portraying herself, initially voiced support for Cady, now played by Angourie Rice, by stating, “We are going back red. Y2K fire crotch is back!” Lohan interpreted this as an insensitive allusion to the derogatory nickname she endured in the mid-2000s.

Recent observations by vigilant fans, as reported by The Shade Room, noted alterations on platforms like Prime Video, where Stallion's cameo no longer includes the "fire crotch" remark. Instead, there's a seamless transition to Stallion saying, “Somebody sent me this look and I’m like, ‘Okay, you know what? Hot girls, we are going back red!’”

While Stallion hasn't publicly addressed the controversy sparked by Lohan's team's displeasure with the scene, the decision to remove the line suggests a move by producers to rectify the misstep of including the joke initially, as reported by the Shade Room.

Internet urges 'Mean Girls' makers to not disrespect Lindsay Lohan

A user on Facebook wrote, "Fair. LiLo is an icon, she hated that era of her life and this is like her movie! lol I'm glad they did. No shade to Megan cause I love her too, but that was an unnecessary line."

A user questioned, "Why was that in the movie? Was it in the original?"

Another user wrote, "Now why tf would she even say that🤌🏾🤣."

A user commeted, "They shouldn’t have had that line to begin with tbh."

Another user commented, "Don’t disrespect a legend!"
