Usher's 'wild' house-sharing experience with Diddy at the age of 14 resurfaces amid rapper's arrest
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Usher's shocking experience during his house-sharing days with Sean 'Diddy' Combs 30 years ago, resurfaced after the latter's arrest.
The R&B singer was only 14 when he lived with Diddy in 1994, and it was "wild" and crazy," according to Radar Online.
In a 2016 interview with Howard Stern, Usher revealed what he witnessed while living with Diddy upon his manager, LA Reid's insistence that it would help him "see the lifestyle."
In response to what he saw during the period, Usher said, "I got a chance to see some things...I don't know if I could indulge and even understand what I was looking at."
Usher recalled 'curious things' took place at Diddy's house when he lived there
"It was pretty wild. It was crazy. There were very curious things taking place, and I didn't necessarily understand it," the singer told Howard Stern.
Usher revealed in a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone, that he was introduced to "a totally different set of s***, sex, specifically." while living with the now 54-year-old rapper.
Usher also spoke about the influence of sex in the industry, noting, "Sex is so hot in the industry, man. There was always girls around. You'd open a door and see somebody doing it, or several people in a room having an orgy. You never knew what was going to happen."
Usher's past remarks about his experience living with Diddy 30 years ago resurfaced after the latter's arrest gave way to headlines about his "freak-offs."
Diddy was arrested on Monday, September 16, in Manhattan with severe charges of sex trafficking.
Usher: Not the only young star to spend time under Diddy's wing
A teenage Usher was not the only young star to come under Diddy's wings to learn about the life of a star.
In a 2009 video on YouTube, the disgraced rapper claimed he had the custody of Justin Bieber, 15 at the time, for 48 hours.
At the time, Diddy said, "I have been given custody of him. You know, he's signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. I did Usher's first album."
"For the next 48 hours, he's with me. And we're gonna go full. Buck full crazy," the now jailed singer added.
Diddy pleaded not guilty to the serious charges, but he was denied bail on September 17 despite offering a real estate collateral worth $50 million. His second bail plea was also rejected the next day.
Besides submitting his and his family's passports, Diddy asserted he would sell his private jet.
He will remain behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his trial.
