Video of Jill Biden and Flavor Flav cheering US women's water polo team at Paris Olympics breaks internet
PARIS, FRANCE: Flavor Flav and First Lady of the United States Jill Biden spent time together at an Olympic water polo match in Paris on Saturday, July 27. The unexpected moment was rather odd but entertaining even by the come-one come-all standards of the Olympics.
The American rapper spent the first three-quarters of the match, a 15-6 victory over Greece, high in the stands, cheering on Team USA with his own custom Flav jersey and water polo cap. The 65-year-old was energizing the audience, taking selfies, and providing quick commentary but when word came down that First Lady Jill Biden desired to meet Flav, it was imperative that he had to do so immediately.
Flav and several others dashed through several heavily tinted doors at the Olympic Aquatics Center, and there was the First Lady with her big smile and a custom-knit white Olympics sweater.

A seemingly shocked Flavor Flav hugged Jill Biden who looked ecstatic after the national team's thumping performance. “Thank you so much for doing this,” Biden told Flav as she and others posed for pictures. After exchanging a few fords, Flav gave the FLOTUS a kiss on the cheeks before saying, “You take care. May God give you all his blessings.”
Flav also asked for a photo with the First Lady and he posted video of their meeting on social media. "I love all the support Women’s Water Polo is getting,,, ya boy is so appreciative that the First Lady came to the First Game . THANK YOU @flotus Dr Jill Biden for all the support of you and your family," he tweeted.

Flav later went back to his usual position as hype man after Biden and her security detail left the arena. For the next twenty minutes, he did nothing but pose for photos, take selfies, sign autographs, give hugs and kisses to everyone who came his way until security dragged them all out of the arena.
The Flavor Flav-Jill Biden summit came about in a very 2024 way
The happy moment naturally emerged from two passionate US team supporters coming together to support the women's polo team, a strong contender for the Olympics in Paris this year. Moreover, all of this culminated from the rapper's comment in an Instagram post.
The captain of the US women's water polo team, Maggie Steffens, wrote a long and emotional post in May discussing her love for her team, the honor of representing Team USA, and the financial challenges of competing.
“Many of my teammates aren’t just badass champions, but also teachers, business owners, coaches, physicians assistants, and more,” she wrote, according to Yahoo Sports. “Some may not know this, but most Olympians need a 2nd (or 3rd) job to support chasing the dream (myself included!) and most teams rely on sponsors for travel, accommodations, nutritional support, rent/lodging, and simply affording to live in this day and age,” she added.

Flav, who has an eye for a good story and no prior experience with water polo, quickly appeared in the post's comments section. He wrote, “AYYY YOOO, as a girl dad and supporter of all women’s sports - imma personally sponsor you my girl, whatever you need. And imma sponsor the whole team.” Flav called this a "FLAVOR FLAV promise."
