SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA: Football fans criticized actress Jessica Alba's dancing during her brief appearance in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show, with many taking to social media to mock her moves and question why she was included in the performance.

The 44-year-old actress appeared at the start of the set wearing a white corset-style tank top and jeans, blending in with background dancers as Bad Bunny kicked off his performance. While several celebrity guests made high-energy cameos, some viewers said Alba’s presence felt subdued compared to others on stage.

Clips of the moment quickly circulated online, sparking reactions from fans who accused Alba of lacking rhythm and failing to match the intensity of the routine.

Jessica Alba’s halftime dance sparks social media buzz

Sharing the stage with stars such as Cardi B, Pedro Pascal and Karol G, Alba appeared more reserved than her fellow performers, drawing criticism from viewers who felt she added little to the choreography.

One user questioned her placement during the routine, writing, “WHY WAS JESSICA ALBA STANDING ON THE WALL DURING THE DANCE SCENE LIKE SHE NOT HONEY DANIELS?"

Another bluntly critiqued her abilities, posting, “Jessica Alba is an imposter! She can’t even rock side to side on beat lol."

A separate user echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Jessica Alba still can’t dance."

Commentary continued as fans piled on, with one writing, “It’s Jessica Alba still not knowing how to dance #SuperBowlLX."

Some viewers admitted they barely noticed her at all. One person simply commented, “Didn’t know she was there."

Despite the criticism, Alba did not publicly respond to the backlash surrounding her cameo.

Jessica Alba speaks out against ICE operations

In June 2025, Alba joined several celebrities in publicly opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) amid protests in Los Angeles.

The actress used her social media platform to share resources supporting demonstrators and highlighting the chaotic atmosphere following ICE raids and National Guard deployment. She also posted “know your rights” pamphlets and guidance on how people could protect themselves during enforcement actions.

Last month, California saw large-scale protests against ICE, with demonstrators gathering in significant numbers across Los Angeles.

While demonstrations remained largely peaceful for much of the time, police reported that federal authorities deployed tear gas on a crowd that had assembled on Alameda Street between Aliso and Commercial streets.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, some participants threw “bottles, rocks and industrial-size fireworks,” prompting officers to issue orders to disperse.
