LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas O'Connell, have officially endorsed Kamala Harris for president in a joint statement.

Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell reveal why they are endorsing Harris-Walz

In their video, Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell expressed their support for the Harris-Walz ticket, citing the candidates’ commitment to key issues like environmental protection, reproductive rights, and safeguarding democracy.

“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy,” said Eilish.

Emphasizing the importance of voting to prevent the agenda of far-right groups, O'Connell added, “We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future."

"The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris,” he continued.

Concluding the video with a rallying cry, Eilish said, “Vote like your life depends on it because it does."

Hillary Clinton on the power of celebrity endorsements

Hillary Clinton recently commented on the impact of celebrity endorsements in the US presidential elections.

Speaking specifically about Taylor Swift's endorsement of the Harris-Walz ticket and her influence, Clinton noted that the singer's backing carries particular weight.

“Her fanbase is so intense and incredibly influenced by her,” Clinton said, praising Swift’s ability to connect with her audience on both a personal and political level, according to Variety.

The former Secretary of State also highlighted Swift’s resilience in the face of challenges, such as the pop musician reclaiming ownership of her music and publicly standing up against a man who assaulted her.

“She has demonstrated a resilience in taking control over her own life that sends a strong message,” said Clinton.

“I’m a huge admirer. I think [her endorsement] has real impact," she added.
