MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Jennifer Aniston showed how passionate an actress she is by letting herself get drenched in oil while filming for her series ‘The Morning Show’.

On Sunday, July 28, the 55-year-old ‘Friends’ actor was spotted during the filming of her Apple TV+ hit ‘The Morning Show’ in Manhattan.

Though the premiere date of the show's fourth season, which also stars Reese Witherspoon, has not yet been declared, recent images show production is in full swing.

The photographs show the ‘Murder Mystery’ actress surrounded by a mob who flung the sticky, tar-like substance at her. Staying true to the situation, Aniston’s character looked visibly angry as the black substance soaked her white shirt and beige trousers, per New York Post.

‘The Morning Show’, which recently earned a slew of Emmy nominations — including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for both Aniston and Witherspoon, is based on a newsroom scenario.

Jennifer Aniston hints 'The Morning Show' might delve into perils of journalism

While Jennifer Aniston didn’t explicitly talk about the ordeals her character would face in the fourth season of the show, she hinted in an interview with Variety that the show might delve into issues that show the perils of journalists in the modern world.

As Aniston and Witherspoon were asked what topics would be discussed in the next during their joint interview, Witherspoon said, “I think it would be great to do something with AI and the veracity of news when things can be so easily manufactured. It’s really a strange time for journalism, and it just continues to evolve.”

Aniston, meanwhile, added, “It’s unsettling to know that so much is manufactured and can be so easily manufactured and that so many people just believe it at face value.”

“There was so much respect for journalism and now, it’s so divided — you listen to one news channel and it’s this story and another news channel and it’s this story. It’s heartbreaking, that division,” added the beloved actress.

The Hollywood beauty continued, “I hope it’s just an ebb and flow, and that the goodness, the quality, and the respect will hopefully come back. It’s a really scary time to be a journalist.”
