CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gained infamy on Wednesday night, August 22, at the Democratic National Convention for what some believed to be toilet paper falling from her slacks. However, a source said that the widespread conjecture is unfounded and that the object in question was actually notes.

The terrible hypothesis was sparked by Pelosi, 84, leaving behind what appeared to be a square-shaped white paper product as she made her way to the podium to address thousands of Democrats, according to the New York Post.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ nephew added more to the mystery

Minutes later, the object was turned over by Vice President Kamala Harris' nephew Alexander Hudlin's shoe, which added to the mystery by displaying a more intricate geometrical shape.

A source with knowledge of Pelosi's appearance said, "It was note cards" that were "folded up" with her address on them, following the incident, with a video that was tweeted and received about two million views on X (formerly Twitter).

A lot of people took to social media to make fun of the senior Democrat when Malaysian political analyst Ian Miles Cheong, who posted the video that went viral, called it "toilet paper."

Nancy Pelosi commended Joe Biden at DNC despite seeking his reelection bid exit in past

The former speaker of the House continued with a comparatively short speech - less than five minutes. The item was taken down shortly after famed TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey spoke, but it was on stage during California Democratic congressional candidate Lateefah Simon's speech.

In her brief speech, Pelosi commended President Joe Biden for having "one of the most successful presidencies of modern times," but she omitted to note that she played a major influence in compelling him to give up the presidential candidacy last month due to worries about his mental health.

Internet criticizes Nancy Pelosi's viral DNC moment

Netizens mocked Nancy Pelosi after her notes fell from her pants while she was walking on stage during the DNC in Chicago.

One X user tweeted, "That was the chloroform rag she used on Joe Biden." Another added, "That was a small baggie of powder....perhaps it wasn't Hunter after all."

"Wow, embarrassing and yet completely in context with the BS she was about to unleash," remarked one, while someone else wrote, "What a nasty old hag, she should have been put out to pasture 70 yrs/ago."
