‘We never changed, Trump did’: Marjorie Taylor Greene fires back after POTUS calls her ‘traitor’
WASHINGTON, DC: Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene on Saturday, August 22, hit back at President Donald Trump after he publicly criticised her, Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson and Rep Thomas Massie, calling the three of them “losers” and accusing them of turning against him.
In a lengthy post on X, Greene rejected Trump’s characterization of her as a traitor and argued that she and Massie had remained committed to the conservative and “America First” positions they had previously shared with the president. Greene also criticized Trump’s foreign policy, his response to the Epstein files and what she described as his increasingly personal attacks on former allies.

Greene’s response came a day after Trump published an extended Truth Social post attacking the three conservatives, following their meeting to discuss the possibility of a new political movement.
Trump accused Greene of becoming “liberal” after he withdrew his support for her and said she had performed poorly in Georgia polling before leaving a political race. He also referred to her as “Marjorie Taylor Brown,” called Massie a “real jerk” and questioned Carlson’s judgment.
Greene rejected the president’s characterization and said the disagreement reflected a broader split over Trump’s current policies. “He attacks us with such vitriol because we actually are everything he claimed to be, conservative and America First, and he has proven as President that he is nothing more than a neocon puppet for Israel and his dear friends in the Epstein class,” Greene wrote. “We never changed, Trump did.”
I wonder if it was being called a traitor at his own rally yesterday that caused him to dictate his lies and insult laden attack on Tucker, Thomas, and I, while he flew back on the plane.

It’s also the bad polling that I’m sure he’s seen by now.

Greene specifically defended her voting record alongside Massie, saying both had consistently opposed funding foreign countries and foreign wars. She said their decision to work with Democrats to push for the release of Epstein-related files had contributed to Trump’s criticism.
“This is why Trump now calls me a traitor because instead of bowing down to him like some false little god, I stood up and fought for women,” Greene wrote.
Marjorie Taylor Greene calls Trump a "Trojan horse"
Greene also criticized Trump’s Iran policy, saying she, Carlson and Massie oppose foreign wars and accused him of abandoning his “America First” agenda. “We are strongly against replacing American’s jobs with the foreign visas and we are adamantly against sending off our best and brightest to be killed in war in foreign lands,” she wrote.
Greene also criticized Trump personally, saying his rhetoric and attacks on former allies were inappropriate for the presidency. “Trump’s demeanor, name calling, absurd and reckless rhetoric is unbecoming of the office of the president, is a bad example of leadership,” she wrote.
Greene said she regrets supporting the president in the past. “I supported him because of the policies, but now as president he’s been revealed to be the Trojan horse who enforces many of the policies he claimed to be against, wish I had never supported him," she wrote.
She concluded by saying she would continue praying for Trump to “humble himself” and return to what she described as sincere faith and repentance.
