The 'Ex's & Oh's' singer openly declared herself to be "f*****g hammered" during a performance as a birthday tribute for Parton.

She also engaged with hecklers in the crowd as she said, "You ain't getting your money back" and "Hi, my name is Elle King and I'm f*****g hammered."

The incident received backlash leading the historic music organization to issue a public apology about her show.

In a TikTok clip captured from her set, the singer appeared to forget the lyrics to 'Marry Me' as she admitted, "I don’t give a s**t" and "I don't know the lyrics to these things in this f*****g town."

Internet says Elle King needs to get help after her drunken performance

Slamming King for the fallout from her controversial performance, a user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "I like some of Elle King’s songs but she does seem to have a drinking problem. Messing up a tribute to perhaps the most loved musician in the country is a sign she needs help."

"The people that scream it’s not the guns, it’s mental health are the same people crucifying Elle King. It’s pretty obvious she has an addiction issue," another user tweeted.

"Elle King was an absolute embarrassment to Dolly and the Grand Ole Opry! What a disgrace. The Opry used to allow only legends of Country Music to grace the stage. Guess any drunk singer can get on stage nowadays," someone opined.
