VANCOUVER, CANADA: Actress Mamie Laverock of 'When Calls the Heart' continues to recover from her critical injuries sustained in early May when she fell from a five-story balcony walkway.
The Hallmark actress' recovery is still far from complete as Laverock's family provided an update on her injuries, saying that her body has been "shattered" following the fall.
Born in Canada, Laverock rose to prominence in the early 2000s as Rosaleen Sullivan on the Hallmark Channel series 'When Calls the Heart.' She has been a key contributor to the show's popularity for a considerable amount of time.

Laverock's family provided an update on her multiple surgeries on her fundraiser page, but it appears that she still has a long way to go before she fully recovers.
Laverock's family provided an update on the GoFundMe page, stating, "Focusing now on Mamie's surgery today. Her body has been shattered. She has undergone two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three-hour surgery and another surgery today."
"We have nothing but gratitude for the doctors and nurses who have been exemplary in her care since May 26," the post continued.
The statement continued, "Mamie is ‘doing well’ comparatively to when she arrived. Doing well because she has survived these extensive surgeries."
"She is enduring tremendous pain and continues not to give up. We can only hold onto the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of her story."
In closing, Nicole Rockmann, Rob Compton, John Laverock, and the actress' family said that she "loves her life" and is "fighting hard every day."
"Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and is fighting hard every day," the statement concluded.
Mamie Laverock's family intends to file a lawsuit against the hospital
Mamie Laverock’s family intends to take legal action against the hospital where she fell from a five-story balcony walkway.
The actress’ mother, Nicole Rockmann, told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, May 30, that they are certain they have a "negligence-type" case against St Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.
"We have a case. All we care about is that Mamie can make a recovery and that she’s alive and that she’s fighting and that she’s strong," Rockmann said.
Rockmann went on to describe her daughter's survival as an "absolute miracle" and laid the blame for the fall at the hospital, making it clear that the fall was not "intended" or a suicide attempt.
"There will be accountability," she stated and added that Laverock was no longer receiving treatment at St. Paul's and was transferred to a trauma center.
Mamie Laverock experienced her first 'medical emergency' in early May
As previously reported, the 'When Calls the Heart' actress experienced a "medical emergency" on May 11, per Daily Mail.
Her mother Nicole drove her to the hospital in Winnipeg, where she had "intensive treatment" for two weeks.
According to the fund-raiser page, during that time she "was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories."
Laverock's parents noted at the time, "She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support. We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time."
The family earlier posted an update on their GoFundMe page, which appeared to have been removed, saying that Laverock was doing much better.
The words on the page by her family read, "Mamie is out of her big surgeries and the doctors [say] she is doing well. It’s impossible for us to be happier. Thank you all for your support."
