WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden is trending on social media, but for reasons he might not appreciate.

Following his withdrawal from the presidential race, a wave of speculation about his whereabouts has swept across social media platforms, especially X, formerly known as Twitter.

The hashtag #WhereIsJoeBiden has gone viral, with many questioning why the president hasn't made any public appearances since his significant announcement.

Biden's recent positive Covid-19 diagnosis likely explains his reduced public appearances, as he's presumably resting to recuperate from the illness.

The buzz surrounding Biden's disappearance from the public eye is particularly intense on Fox News. Peter Doocy reported that the president has no public appearances scheduled for the coming week.

This absence has sparked a variety of theories and discussions among news personalities and the general public alike. In one Fox News panel, Bret Baier and Dana Perino discussed the conspicuous absence of Biden.

"Not physically seeing Biden - not addressing a camera in Delaware, let alone an Oval Office statement like LBJ did," Baier said.

"They didn't even release a WH still photograph. Nothing. I hope he's fine, but you can forgive people for wondering if we are really living Weekend at Bernie's right now. Like, proof of life, please," Perino expressed.

Recently, Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, a move that has sent the political landscape into uncharted territory. He declared that he would not seek a second term and instead threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris, urging Democrats to rally behind her campaign, according to Sky News.

In a heartfelt letter addressed to "my fellow Americans," Biden expressed that serving as President had been "the greatest honor of my life."

"While it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term," he said.

Biden endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee and made a call for unity against the Republican contender: "Democrats - it's time to come together and beat Trump."

The announcement was made via a statement posted on X, where Biden also promised to address the nation later in the week to provide more details about his decision.
