PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former First Lady Melania Trump is rarely spotted at the luxury resort Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, with her husband Donald Trump, reported The Telegraph.

In a December 25 interview with the outlet, Laurence Leamer, the author of 'Mar-A-Lago: Inside the Gates of Power at Donald Trump's Presidential Palace', disclosed the former First Lady's noticeable absence from the resort, now referred to as home by the former President. This has sparked an intriguing "mystery" among Palm Beach residents.

"Prior to becoming first lady, Mrs Trump would reportedly often be sighted by Mar-a-Lago members, particularly in the club's beauty parlour. These days, however, residents in the wealthy island enclave say she is rarely seen in public," Leamer said.

The author added, "Nobody knows where she is. It's like a mystery. It's certainly talked about."

Melania's last public appearance was on December 15 at the National Archives Naturalization Ceremony, where she spoke about her struggles with her immigration experience to the US. The speech was widely criticized by many, including her former advisor, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who found her speech "quite repulsive."

Laurence Leamer says Trump family's life at Mar-a-Lago is 'strange'

Leamer, a Palm Beach resident who has been banned from the Trump residence's premises, told The Telegraph that the Slovenian-born model "rarely exits Mar-a-Lago."

"It's a strange, isolated life they have in that place," the author added.

He also claimed that his friends who regularly visit the luxury resort are "bemused by Mrs Trump's conspicuous absence from the social scene." Her absence is more intriguing as the family living quarters are "right off the main hall."

Besides, the former First Lady has not been spotted with Trump in his recent campaign rallies. Nevertheless, he dominates the opinion polls among the Republican candidates for the 2024 presidential elections. There were also no responses from her as Trump faced a setback in his campaign with the Colorado Supreme Court banning his candidacy from the state's primary ballot and ruling him ineligible to become President

However, some early December reports suggested her involvement in the 2024 presidential race, claiming that she is pushing former Fox News host Tucker Carlson to be her husband's VP pick. Nevertheless, Carlson has no intentions to be the former President's running mate and instead backed GOP White House hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy for the position.
