SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: Caitlin Clark was dragged online over her poor performance during the Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm game on Tuesday, June 24, despite her team’s win.

Reports have said that for the very first time in her career, the 23-year-old registered more turnovers than points during a game.

Clark only scored six points during the game as the Fever beat the Storm 94-86, as per The New York Post

Earlier, she was even blamed for her team's 89-81 loss against the New York Liberty on June 22, as per Sports Illustrated.

Besides, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year was even involved in a drama-filled game against the Connecticut Sun last week, where she was reportedly attacked by the opposing team players.

But her teammate Sophie Cunningham took revenge on her behalf, which led to a petition against her, demanding she be banned from the WNBA.

Cunningham was blamed for “unsportsmanlike conduct during games against the Connecticut Sun.”

WNBA fans say Caitlin Clark’s ‘fire is gone’ amid poor performance

Fans of the WNBA are clearly not happy with Caitlin Clark's recent performance, with one taking to X (formerly Twitter) to write, “Is my GOAT washed already???????”

Another person sarcastically commented, “Caitlin Clark has been playing like she is going through a divorce.”

One more remarked, “Absolutely trash from her the last couple games.”

“I swear she hasn’t improved at all from last year…at some point these turnovers can’t be excused,” an individual remarked.

“She’s always struggled shooting against good defensive teams going back to last year,” one more offered, while another said, “It's not going to get fixed by just shooting better. It's a mental battle. Her fire is gone. She's been tamed. It's deflating to watch her play without any fire."

"Playing alright, running the point, but her shot is broken. I’ve watched every game (almost) for 7 years. Trying not to be a prisoner of the moment - but I think this is worst shooting slump of her college & pro career. No stats to back that, just eyeball test," another tweet read.

Meanwhile, Seattle Storm coach Noelle Quinn has only praise for Caitlin Clark.

She said, as per Athlon Sports, “(Clark) is a matchup nightmare because she can pass, shoot and do a lot of good things on the basketball court.”

“I like our attention to detail on her. I like how we're staying in plays. And I like that we're getting our hand up and making it difficult,” Quinn added.
