WASHINGTON, DC: Newly released photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have brought attention to his ties with powerful figures, including filmmaker Woody Allen.

House Democrats disclosed 19 images initially on Friday, December 12, as part of their probe into the Justice Department’s handling of its criminal investigation, showing the Oscar-winning director among the well-known faces in Epstein’s circle. The photos also feature other high-profile figures, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew.

One image shows the two men dining with an unidentified woman at a table crowded with drinking glasses, while Epstein is seen smiling during their conversation. Another photo reportedly captures Epstein visiting Allen on the set of one of his films, standing beside the director as Allen sits in a director’s chair with headphones draped around his neck.

Allen has not commented publicly on the newly released images. However, he previously addressed his relationship with Epstein in a September interview with The Sunday Times, describing Epstein as a former neighbor.

The 'Annie Hall' director said he and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, met Epstein in late 2010 after a publicist introduced them and invited them to dinner at Epstein’s home, an event that was also attended by Prince Andrew.

The meeting took place several months after Epstein completed a year of house arrest following a nearly 13-month prison sentence for soliciting an underage girl. Allen said Epstein claimed he had been falsely imprisoned through extortion and told them he was attempting to rebuild his reputation through philanthropy, supporting scientists and universities. “He couldn’t have been nicer,” Allen said.

Despite Epstein’s legal history, Allen and Previn became frequent guests at his dinner parties, which Allen described as gatherings of prominent academics and accomplished professionals. Allen also said he never witnessed Epstein in the company of underage girls, adding that Epstein always had a girlfriend but never one who was underage.

House Democrats release more than 70 additional Epstein photos

House Democrats obtained about 95,000 photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. They first released 19 images, then late Friday, the House Oversight Committee shared more than 70 additional photos from the collection.

The committee released the images without captions or details about when or where they were taken, or the events they show. Lawmakers said they wanted to protect survivors’ identities, but they did not explain why they blurred some faces in the new photos while leaving others visible.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York said the goal is full transparency, adding that Epstein’s survivors deserve clear answers. "All we want is full transparency. That’s what the Epstein survivors deserve and have demanded," he expressed.

Some of the photos show Trump, who had a long friendship with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s. Other images feature Clinton, Allen, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Prince Andrew. One photo also shows Allen speaking with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon.

In a statement, Democrats on the Oversight Committee said they will continue releasing images from the Epstein estate in the interest of transparency, noting that they have now made more than 70 additional photos public.
